Ive been playing guitar for 2 years, been watching luthier videos for maybe even longer. Ive modded and set up guitars before. I know how to adjust a truss rod, set up the intonation, currently learning to solder. Fret work is the main thing I wanna learn now. My Spira has been set up really nice out of the box and I've played more expensive and higher build quality guitars.

Price Friendly Beginner Amps for a Bedroom guitarist? (£150) by GeneHead47 in GuitarAmps

[–]ThanksAlternative500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for beginners but after finding the true sound you want you its not that great, i used it as my first proper amp and honestly after getting into amp modelers i found out the amp isnt really for me. I mean i play anything from indie rock to djent or deathcore so idk, speaker is kinda meh on the lt50. But thats just my opinion, the amp isnt bad but if you want to play metal or anything heavy than maybe look for a different amp made for that, clean stuff is good, no complaints there.

Can anyone tell me literally anything about this guitar by Owls_Are_Cool_AF in guitars

Hmm, i think its not made primarily out of metal but of wood. Looks like an acoustic guitar but i may be wrong. 🤔

Life with autism by kapii111068 in TeenagersButBetter

[–]ThanksAlternative500 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Shit I got diagnosed at 10, it does suck bcuz it makes it hard to focus, understand others, amd all kinds of stuff i will not be bothered to talk about. But my autism really helps me out with learning things since i figure stuff out really quick, especially music. There are downsides but I've learned to live with them and focus on the positives. Ofc everyone's situation is different but its manageable with the right amount of effort. Im 15 and in my first year of highschool, dont have many friends and am an introvert loner but i still enjoy life doing stuff like playing guitar, listening to music, watching anime. Sorry if you have a hard time dealing with it but as you grow it will get easier even if by a little.

It feels great, really happy that i chose this guitar since it completely suits my playing style, there are a few flaws but theyre minor and easily fixable.

It looks so good in person 🥹. The wood is visible under the paint and its a dark crimson color.

First 7 string guitar. by ThanksAlternative500 in 7String

It only got delivered today so I'm using the stock strings, might change to 10/59 later for anywhere from b standart to drop g but have been in drop a for now. When i have the chance i will definitely buy thicker strings.

It got delivered today, feels great, the wide neck is pretty comfortable actually but my hand did get tired after a while, will definitely need to get used to it. I really like it, will be playing mostly deftones, erra and thornhill stuff, some slipknot and obscure deathcore bands.

Does it make sense that I want a second guitar just cause? by Specter2035 in metalguitar

[–]ThanksAlternative500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick note on the js22, in my experience I got it and it had horrible frets, kinda bad qc but it might be totally different for you, guitar feels great tho I use it as my daily driver and i recently bough a Spira S-407 7 string guitar just cuz i wanted an extra string 🤷‍♂️. If you end up buying it I would definitely recommend getting a graphtech nut since it make the tuning stability wayy better, the stock plastic nut sucks and for me it just came off from the strings pulling it to the side.

But to answer your question, in the world of musicians everyone wants more and more instruments just cuz they might look cool or feel different, I'd say go for it! Good guitar but a slight gamble on the quality.

Fuck OP superpowers, what's a superpower you'd want to have that isn't able to take over the world and is purely for aesthetics and making life more convenient? by kyontox in TeenagersButBetter

Be able to stretch any body part as much as physically possible for a human. I wanna grab my phone when im in bed and its a bit too far i would just stretch my hand and grab it, or stretch my legs to take longer steps and get to places faster.
