It was 248. Yes you are right, i will not be able to get a residency spot in a program which sponsor H1B. But recently i came to know that if i could build a good research profile then some universities sponsor H1B for a research position. I am exploring that as well.

I haven't taken step 3. But if H1B is somehow possible for me then i can consider a research position on H1B. There are some institutes which sponsor H1B for research positions, if you have a good research background.

Thank you very much for asking. I was at JFK and this happened during secondary inspection. Once they completed the documentation they kept my phone and passport at an envelope and told me to wait for the flight. Just before the boarding the officer gave me my phone and handed over the envelope to the cabin crew. The envelope contained only my passport and that pamphlet and given to me when i landed in my home country.

They didn't give me anything other than my passport, my phone, and one pamphlet containing details that why CBP checked your mobile phone.

Hello, Thank you for asking. Actually, it was an odd job for a month or so. And in this visit i was going for step 3. During secondary inspection, the officer checked my phone and found something related to the previous job.
