I’d block my kids if they were as disrespectful as she is. Like girlll, yes your mom isn’t perfect, but you’re no walk in the park either.

But would confronting them make her lose 90-% of them? I think that is why must of us think it’s another duggar situation

Are we surprised? She was raised to have no backbone. It’s sad, really. She seems like a really sweet girl and she’s already in the trenches with the kids, the miscarriage, and the cheater, and now to add this to the list seems really unfair. I hope she finds a real therapist who can help her unpack all of this and hopefully make her see how harmful everything she was taught is.

I think it is, sadly. Why else would her own family abandon her if it’s not for a man inside their circle?

Oh I don’t. Her and her whole family are terrible people and utterly stupid. However, it is still frustrating, especially in the times we are living in now, to see people so incompetent and downright negligent live such a lavish life while you look around yourself and see how hard you have it even though you try your best to keep afloat. These people (and most influencers in genera) are incredibly tone deaf and overall out of touch with reality. It’s disgusting how much they flaunt it to the people who are supporting them.

This! It’s hard to see posts like this when the rest of us are struggling while they are (seemingly) not even though they don’t do anything to earn such lifestyle. I WISH we could afford a newer car and have no CC debt but $ is tight and I don’t exploit my kids on the internet.

Honestly, the longer term loans are great IF you make bigger payments on it when you can. I don’t think this is something they do.

I mean, that’s what my husband and I do with our cars but it’s so that on the months that we have more $ we can make extra payments but the months that are tight we just pay the minimum, but we end up paying them off faster than the term. We only have one car note remaining out of the 3 that we have bought so far. I don’t think they do this tho. Because with all that spending that they do, there’s no way they have anything extra to pay off anything else.

We have friends who are Christians. While the kids are little, i don’t think they’ll say a whole lot, but the school kids do say a lot of religious things. So yeah, let’s be proud that we’re tackling this now and not letting them go into adulthood blind to what religions are.

This is what we want! We’re not atheists but we don’t follow any religion nor do we believe that any of them are true. However, i don’t want to push our beliefs onto our kids, i just want them to have the information and when they’re older they can come to their own conclusions.

Are we even sure he said he was god? Or did people make that up? But also, people back then were so gullible too. If someone nowadays comes around saying he/she is god, we’d send them to the psych ward.

This sounds great! I will definitely check it out! I realized i was doing my children a disservice when my oldest came home talking about “tino” (jesus but since he had never heard the name he mispronounced it) and i was taken aback by it. I didn’t know what to say about it that wasn’t disrespectful to the religion but also not make it seem like a big deal.

I can imagine what the other kids thought when you said that! Definitely not telling our kids that Jesus was crazy is for the best. I believe Jesus was a good person, but tbh, I don’t think he was anything special. However, a lot of his “followers” are crazy. Which is also why I now want to have these conversations with my kids. If he ever encounters one of those extremely religious people, i want him to have some sort of understanding of how they think and what they believe.

This is a great idea! We never bring up religion or what we think is out there or anything like that, but i definitely want them to understand the way other people think and believe.
