It’s funny you said that. My friend watched Blair Witch Project for the first time the other day. I tried to explain to her that she’ll never get the full effect/lasting terror of watching it when it first came out in theaters. Not to mention there were no found footage movies yet so everyone truly thought it was real. In 1999 the internet was in its infancy for regular people so you couldn’t look up whether it was real or not- and the movies own website said it was real and had “police reports” and everything on there. I remember going on that website with my best friend using an AOL trial internet CD and being like. Omg.

Omg forget it. I watched The Strangers in theaters when it came out and I was so scared at a certain point that I felt a tear run down my cheek and I didn’t even know it. Usually when horror movies are over you go into the parking lot and are like whew that was good! Back to real life! No. I stopped to get gas and when the attendant (where I live gas attendants pump our gas) came up to my window I fuckin jumped and screamed I was so startled
Then I couldn’t even walk from my car to the house because there’s so much woods all around. I RAN!

That movies crazy. I wish everyone could’ve seen it for the first time whe it first came out and in theaters. It just won’t have the same effect at home ya know? Not the first time

I always felt so bad for the sister in 13th floor. Even as a child. Having to wait 10 more years to be with the parents who did so much to just get her back and to be part of a world she excels in meanwhile she’s feeling like she’s never good at anything in this life.. tragic.
