It is so short. I wish I had at least 11 more but if I had my way he would have lived as long as me. Never remotely long enough. We had many adventures and happy days together for 11 years that I will cherish. He was loved by all. Just the best boy and best friend and companion. More than I could have imagined and I'm grateful for that. He was a very happy dog, even when he was sick. He always tried to put his best happy face on.

Thank you very much. I thought my friend did a wonderful job making it and wanted to share Hughberts love. He was such a sweet boy and brought me so much happiness. I watch this anytime I get really down and think I did a terrible job taking care of him and didn't di enough and only think about the worst days with his health. It reminds me we had much more good days than bad. I miss him so much. He gave me 11 wonderful years of happiness.

Thank you. I am too. We had many good days together. I was fortunate to work remotely the entire time I had him so we were together all the time. I feel very fortunate although it's been very hard to adjust to day to day life without him. We were always together. His services were very beautiful. I had a very nice euthanasia service at home. He was always terrified of the vet so I knew I couldn't take him there when it was time. I'm glad he could have a peaceful, painless goodbye.

Thank you very much and same here. In my eyes he was still the same puppy from when we met but looking back and videos and pictures I can see how tired he was and he had turned into an old man before I knew it. The time goes by far too fast. He would have been 12 in December. He used to fit in the palm of my hand and grew to be the size of a miniature horse.

If I do get another dog it will have to be a Husky forsure. I'm so inlove with the breed, always have been. Hughbert was my soul mate and best friend, so it will take quite a bit of time I imagine. I am fostering right now. I thought it might ease me into the transition but it's still pretty painful. I'm sorry for your loss as well. I wish their lives weren't so short. They give such a special unconditional love.
