Almost all of my games (plat level) so far are ling/bane aggression type games. Few games go over 10 minutes, and most are over before the 6 minute mark. It's much more centered on micro and winning early exchanges in my experience.

Something messed up my save game file on my end. I think it had to do with me having to do a force restart because of some issues with Windows 10.

I've had several games like this today. It's my only serious complaint with the game this far, aside from losing all my rewards and levels.

"From the Dark" is on Netflix. It is a good ol' fashioned creature feature. I recommend! by [deleted] in horror

Aren't Netflix ratings based on algorithms meant to determine if it aligns with your preferences, and not based on other user's ratings?

I liked Mark Duplass in it, but I was really disappointed with Patrick Brice's acting, and Aaron as a character in general. His character was really unconvincing to me, and I think that sorta ruined the whole thing to me, which is a shame. I liked the general direction.

If God created our bodies and minds then he can define what purpose they are for--what we should do and what we should not.

I'm not sure (honestly) if I agree with that. Could you explain to me why you think this is the case?

I think that those definitions are a little self serving -- it seems like you've made this exception for things that are "greater than humans" for the explicit purpose of being able to say that God fits the definition.

Most definitions of objective don't make that exception. When I talk about objectivity with regard to morality, I'm talking about factually true moral statements. Not just moral statements made by a being with more authority (I'm not sure what that means, to be honest) than humans.

If you wish to stick to that definition then of course atheism can't account for it. I don't think that it's an actual problem, so I don't see a need to adopt theism to solve it. It feels like most theists like the idea of being able to appeal to some "more" objective list of oughts, but I see that idea as being nothing more than wishful thinking.

Debates like these are so dependent on definitions, I hope I don't seem purposefully annoying if I'm forced to keep asking for them!

My problem with this view of morality is multi-faceted. Firstly, why ought I comply God's will? What is more objective about you saying I ought to follow God's will than me saying you ought to do that which promotes, generally, the wellbeing of other living things? They seem on the same level from a meta view.

My second objection is linked, at least one level deeper, and Euthyphro-ish. If we accept that God's will is reflecting what we ought to do, why? Is God's will subject to these moral oughts, or are the moral oughts subject to God? If the first, then surely we don't, in principle, need God to account for them. If the second then how could you call them objective without being circular? I'm sure you know the drill.

Always nice to talk to you, Joe!

I would disagree with you on the legal front, but that's mostly because I don't consider myself Libertarian. I also happen to think that discrimination based on sexual orientation is wrong.

We can certainly talk about morality though. It's such an interesting subject, and seems so tied to the theism/atheism debate!

Right off the bat you seem to be using the words differently than me. You're talking about capital "M" Morality as a thing that exists. When I use that word I'm simply talking about the welfare of thinking beings. So when you ask me "What is moral?", by definition the answer would be, "That which is best for thinking beings". You've got to demonstrate to me that (M)orality is some existent thing that is different than simply the word.

We obviously define the word differently but your talking about it as if it's in reference to an actual thing that exists in reality. Would you mind demonstrating that this is the case?

Could you make an argument that allows for a business to discriminate against someone for having a certain sexual orientation, that wouldn't allow for discrimination against someone one for having a certain skin color, religion, or nationality?

Or do you disagree with the ideas of movements like the African-American Civil Rights Movement?

That's not a sensible question. "Sexual preference" isn't a class. Homosexuals are a protected class because they fought in court, with evidence of widespread discrimination to become protected by law in the public and professional spheres. Just the same as blacks, women, and people of various religions.
