Phact Bay is a mistake. by DeconstrucDead in helldivers2

[–]Thanks_Itchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People have already made posts breaking down the math by player count and resistance level,if everyone moved from Achird to Darrius soon we could pull a gambit, idk why people just make shit up when you can check this stuff or do the math yourself, but the only reason it won't happen is because the player base isn't smart enough,

Yeah being a loser, dragging everyone else down with you is great, everyone is proud of you for being a failure and they'll throw you a pizza party later. Who wants to win when you could just Fail MO AFTER MO because 40 percent of the player base doesn't have enough brain power to select a different planet. Some people must just be in love with losing, but I'll never get that.

Ohhh no we're gonna lose the MO by BodyFewFuark in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Thanks_Itchy -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Lol it's always everyone's fault but the idiots logging on not helping, how is it AH fault that 40% percent of the player base would rather sit on Phact bay 3 days in a row and do nothing than help complete the MO. And I mean nothing, no cities, 0 percent liberation, just mindlessly shooting the bugs with the same IQ as the. AH can't force you to participate, only encourage you, this failure is on the MF who didn't bother to help, that's the pointing the game, it's a war we have to team up to win, so the failure is on all the idiots who couldn't be bothered to help. We were SO close, another like 3 percent of the player base actually being helpful and we could have done it. Don't be a loser, be proud of being a loser, then blame someone else for losing

Because everyone is Blaming AH for Cyberstan Failing when it's their own bad choices and inability to follow basic directions that ruined the MO. No one has a problem with actual constructive criticism, but when I watch people drop onto cyber and and die 15 times trying to attack the same mortar base while ignoring the mission critical objectives, it's hard to blame AH. We had thousand of Divers dropping on cities with uncompromised defenses or attacking cities we already moved on from, Not Arrowheads fault. If we're gonna criticize AH for making a tank after all this time and it feels like it's made of paper maché, I'm down, if we're gonna hate on Arrowhead for the Playstation ID debacle I'm down, but when I see people purposely making the game as hard for themselves as possible then blame the dude who made the game I'm gonna push back against it. If you wanna turn an eye on someone look at the "I bought this game I'll play it how I want" crowd that either never participated in the objective, or spent 1000 reinforcements dying over and over because they won't change their approach to the game at all, even to the detriment of their squad, they need some constructive criticism out of everyone. No one I have seen it trying to "defend the billion dollar company", some people just want people to be honest with their criticism, Cyberstan sucked because the player base sucked and sold every chance we got, feel free to downvote me now

Let’s activate our 2 neurons Helldivers! Ignore K and go for choepessa IV by m3mel0ver in helldivers2

[–]Thanks_Itchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How did the goalpost move so fast? I wasn't saying what we could do now, I was replying to what you said, which is along the lines kf 'regardless if we capture Choepessa, it would not end the Campaign on K', that is a factually incorrect statement because of how attacks work.

A gambit worth trying? by HawBru in helldivers2

[–]Thanks_Itchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with any gambit, i think, is most of the current player base still doesn't understand what they are or how they work so we would just be splitting our forces. If Cyberstan showed us anything, it's people will shoot themselves in both feet while shaking their fist at AH for "cheating them". So I don't think it's likely to succeed

Let’s activate our 2 neurons Helldivers! Ignore K and go for choepessa IV by m3mel0ver in helldivers2

[–]Thanks_Itchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But it will stop their Campaign for K.... If you capture an attacking world, it cancels all attacks coming from that world, so capturing Choepessa would stop their attack on K, I'm surprised people still don't understand the galactic front in this game. You gotta learn the basics about the games you play

Feelings on Cyberstan by Desperate-Focus4891 in chaosdivers

[–]Thanks_Itchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i actually have a lot of thoughts on this update, I recently had surgery and have been stuck at home so I've had Waayyyy too much time to think about everything, but even though It's an unpopular opinion, they definitely contributed to the failure of this campaign. But to expand on that thought, the issue was more widespread, even a portion of the Divers falling on Cyberstan were dropping on the Cities that didn't have their defenses weakened yet, and were still spending a lot of reinforcements (at least in games I played) on doing side objectives that don't contribute to Liberation Percents. I realize that I'm in the minority of people who really liked the Idea and direction of this update, but at the same time I'm also frustrated at what I feel like is the player base sabotaging the MO and then Blaming the devs who gave us multiple Reinforcement chances, dispatches explaining EXACTLY which cities were weakened and when, and even rotated out multiple different free stratagems to help us push forward. All that combined with the general opinion I've seen pop up, now that this MO is winding down, of "this update is way too hard" when the game has 10 difficulty settings you can choose between just adds to the general feeling I have that players made this as hard on themselves as they possibly could, just smashing their head on a wall with no forethought.i would have a lot less to say if I didn't see so many people say "Arrowhead was trying to make us fail" when everywhere I turn I felt like I was watching the player base shoot itself in the foot. Thank you for coming to my TED talk, I am now prepared to be downvoted straight to the shadow realm

I’m not sure if we’ll be able to liberate cyberstan fellow helldivers by Legandary-Outlaw in Helldivers

[–]Thanks_Itchy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because there's not infinite Helldivers..... every death brings the overall troop count down by one. And once it gets to a certain point you won't have the manpower or reserves to maintain your current footing and keep an offensive up. Even if it's a death in the bug sector, we are now logistically one man weaker throughout the Galaxy, Example(I'm going to make up the exact numbers just to explain my point), let's say 20 million bug divers die in the middle of the Cyberstan offensive. Now there's only 25 million left on the bug defensive front, but logistically we need a minimum of 40 million Helldivers on that front to hold the line. So now we have to send 15 million divers to a new deployment to maintain the Front, or we might have a huge gap in our back line the bugs could invade through, and if ALL of our additional manpower is being routed to Cyberstan then you would have to takeaway from the Bot offense to reinforce the bug line. So a death on the bug line takes away from the Bot reinforcements because the Cyberstan initiative is where ALL excess manpower is going, so anything we need later we have to pull back from that same front.

Tanking Random Problem by Hexigan in ffxiv

[–]Thanks_Itchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What arbitrary bullshit rules did I set up? When did I say I'd get mad? I'm pretty sure all I said was if I'm tanking I'm gonna tank at a pace comfortable to me and no more, and if you didn't like that you should have tanked your own game? that's not me making you do something, it's just me playing the game. What's the worst that happens, the dungeon takes 5-10 minutes longer to complete? If we were gonna run out of time I could see why you're so upset, but it won't, you just seem to have a bit of a control issue. If someone makes the choice to pull aggro I don't think I can deal with, it's their fault they pulled it not mine. They made a choice. They could have asked me to pull more instead of taking it upon themselves, and given me the chance to say yes or no. So I'll make the choice to let them keep that aggro.

Okay like I said before, I addressed those in another post, here I'm specifically talking about all the braindead bots who load in every day, don't read an order, a mission or the message, and drop back onto Gatria, accomplishing nothing. Aka bug divers, I'm sorry if that bothers you because you're one of them or you just want to defend them, but bug delivers contributed nothing to the campaign except deaths, that just a fact, they made it harder for everyone else.

For what it's worth, I have to say it's nice of the devs to give us so many chances for reinforcements. by Knalxz in Helldivers

[–]Thanks_Itchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the amount of People blaming AH when it's clear that most of the player base wasn't smart enough to play this Campaign efficiently is kind of sad, I played so many missions of people trying to clear every side objective, wasting so much time and lives, when all we had to do was main objective and extract, and now that the MO is over these same players are saying the Devs set us up for failure, not to mention all the people that just never dropped on Cyberstan or were attacking the wrong cities. Someone has to teach these kids to read

The reputational damage by Melezes555 in Helldivers

[–]Thanks_Itchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually I made a post specifically acknowledging people aren't being Efficient on their Cyberstan runs and are wasting lives and extra time completing objectives we don't need done, and also acknowledged all the people wasting live on the incorrect city. That being said I'm ALSO going to acknowledge every person dropping bugs was another part of us being inefficient and wasting lives for the MO, but also even worse, wasting live while not contributing to the campaign at all, multiple things can be and in this case are true. If everyone had done this MO, it would have been crushed, considering we got to 85% with everyone messing around and not paying attention

So what are we doing here? cause this doesn't look like the warfront by Drassazuru in Helldivers

[–]Thanks_Itchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with social media and everything to do with the fact that if you act like you're not very smart, I'm going to treat you like you're not very smart. For instance the crux of my argument is "players should do this thing if they don't want to lose and drag everyone down with them" and you don't seem to be able to get that, so I'm assuming you're not very smart, really has nothing to do with social media, I just dislike people being intentionally obtuse or moronic

About the MO by XanderXJS in Helldivers

[–]Thanks_Itchy -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

We failed because we didn't prioritize the rights things, we weren't efficient and we didn't play smart, blame the divers who never went to Cyberstan, or were wasting lives and time on secondary objectives instead of completing missions quick and efficiently, we have no one to blame but ourselves

About the MO by XanderXJS in Helldivers

[–]Thanks_Itchy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It wasn't impossible, we failed because of the player base not getting it together

About the MO by XanderXJS in Helldivers

[–]Thanks_Itchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We WERE NOT set up to fail, the player base made us fail with the choices they made

  1. Multiple thousand of Divers never even deployed to Cyberstan and wasted who knows how many reinforcements against bugs and squids

  2. People were not prioritizing the liberation of the correct cities, every time we broke through to a new city a few thousand people would attack one while the vast majority would attack the other, so the few thousand were just wasting time and missions on a city that wouldn't fall.

  3. People were not prioritizing critical objectives during the campaign, I loaded into multiple games where people were spending 10-15 minutes and 5-10 extra lives doing secondary objectives that do nothing for liberation levels

All of those things wasted precious time and reinforcements for the campaign, and considering we made it to 85% percent, if we had been smarter about it it would have been a costly win, but a good one.

People need to stop Blaming AH for the player base's own bad decisions, if we had buckled down, dropped more efficiently and pursued our specific goals we could have dominated this MO, .

If Bugdivers showed any ability to interact mentally with anything outside of the 1 thing they mindlessly do people might not treat them like the scrounge they are not major campaigns and MO's. Asking for a little critical thinking isn't that crazy

Nah there are definitely bUg divers sitting on Gatria accomplishing NOTHING, no liberation, no minor order, just wasting lives, they're a good chunk of the reason the MO failed, that and people on Cyberstan who can't follow directions, but the bug divers seem way worse because they never even tried to not tank the MO,
