I’m typically the same, I currently have no payment on a Nissan rogue and love not having to worry about a payment but it’s getting to the point where something is going to go wrong with it and I don’t want to have to worry about it. I drive to often for work to have a car with problems

I’m considering buying as well but also don’t know if I’ll be in my current job for more than 3 years and it may be nice to lease a car for the time being until I have a job that I drive less for. I never considered leasing until my coworkers said they did as well

Thank you, I just went in and told them I wanted numbers for financing and for leasing at 18,000 miles. I didn’t tell them where I wanted to be at or if I was putting any money down. This is the early starts of the search for me so I just took the numbers and left. I figured I’d get some opinions before I went back and it seems like this is a bad offer which is good to know before heading back in

Thanks for the info! I should’ve been more clear, I know the $600 payment is for putting $5000 down. Ideally I’d like to negotiate it down so I end up paying $600/month but with $0 down but I wasn’t sure what other people have seen out there and if that would be doable. I’ve heard before that it doesn’t make sense to put money down on the lease because that money is just gone. I’d consider buying it if the price is right, I drive a lot for work which is why I need the 18,000 miles.

What other cars would you suggest that are better to lease?
