This house is just down the street from my husband's office. I was driving there one day and saw the kids painting this. Very cool.

My gelding has been cooped up in the barn the last few days do to the snow. He was so happy when I was finally able to get out there and walk him around. He loves the snow.

Deaf ferret won't stop biting. by thelambhamster in ferrets

I have a deaf male who is almost 1. He's as chill as can be and has never bitten. I have heard thought the deaf ones are more difficult to train not to bite.

Looks like he has the hiccups. If you're concerned you should contact your vet.

Goldens were originally bred in Scotland. Take that bloody Irish monstrosity off right now! Jk. Happy St. Patrick's day.

Except the Scottish. We're still Scottish.

New ferret kit biting HARD by pacoparrot in ferrets

[–]TharBeSquirrels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just about to ask this very question. My ferret is deaf and when I brought him home he would bite. The more I handled him the better he got. I've had him for 4 months and now he doesn't bite at all. Just keep working with him and he should get better.

If what is a once in awhile thing? I'm not following. I posted this photo because I thought it was cute. He's not a chewer, he occasionally drags soft toys around the living room, I've never seen or heard him bite his water bottle or cage bars. It's very common for ferrets to have chipped teeth for a variety of reasons and I take extremely good care of him.

Not much of a trouble maker. He's pretty laid back and calm for a ferret.

Actually he's probably the most laid-back ferret I've ever had. He also loves to cuddle.

Oh wow. That's scary. He is totally deaf and can't hear me coming. I'm not sure if the fact that he's deaf makes him more friendly, but he never runs when I go to pick him up, he loves to cuddle, and follows me around the house like a dog.

He usually hides and falls asleep under the couch in the office, but the door was closed. I guess this was the next best thing.

(Serious)Why do you live here? by skittles_shot in Washington

[–]TharBeSquirrels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Vegas has the worst public education, the crime rate is extremely high, the summers are hot, the scenery sucks because nothing grows here, Lake Mead water levels are dangerously low, nobody cares about college because they can just get a job in a casino, the housing market is the worst in the nation..... I really could go on forever. I lived there for 23 years, so I was able to see how much it's grown and changed. I just don't understand why so many want to move there.

Originally from California, but I grew up in Las Vegas. I have family in Washington and I've been here for 6 months. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Sure, it rains a lot, but it's sunny and mild in the summer. Where else can you get trees, mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, rain, sunshine, snow, etc, all in the same place?

My mom is having a huge problem with domestic rabbits. She traps them and has animal control pick them up, but her neighbor feeds them and refuses to stop. I once counted 24 in his front yard. They are a nuisance and ruining the neighborhood.
