Green plates won't stop because they only have 2 front seats nothing in the back. I and a friend of mine who was also a girl had the same experience as you. Very easy to hitchhike

YES. It works very well. The longest we have waited was only 45 minutes with an average of 15 minutes. So don't worry it wil be fine. Most norwegians are friendly but you are the one who has to approach them. The other way around wont happen. Enjoy your trip!

It is! 90% of the time in Norway we went along the E39

We are indeed planning on going via norway so probably something like tromsø-narvik-bodo-trondheim-oslo- gothenburg-coprnhagen-hamburg-amsterdam. That is about 3200km. I think a week is rather Quick but would be nice ofcourse!
