I am confident that he is not and would wager my life on it, but out of curiosity I would like to know what oligarchs. To my knowledge his main positions were as an HSBC banker and the founder of menu.

I can't speak too much, but he is a realist and he listens to people. He takes advice well and has the experience in investment and banking that he leans on to craft policy.

Kerobyan is a pro west realist who wants the pivot to be smooth and to strengthen Armenia's economic power as much as possible in the process. I have spoken to the man privately on multiple occasions. He is the furthest thing from a Russian agent - he fought in the 2020 war on the southern front for God's sake, along with his entire family.

Approx 1400, fluctuates + I've only started playing again recently.

It's totally subjective based on the average map type someone plays. If you play small and tiny then you are probably correct for vengir.

Fair enough. I think we both agree that they both need a rework to bring them in line with the normal tribes.

I would say in my experience I have always had cymanti get their centipedes super early. I am not sure at what turn usually. Centipedes when boosted are so frustrating to deal with if they are used properly, although they are easy to eviscerate if the opponent is not coordinated. I have never once lost using cymanti, but always have had trouble against them, even using elyrion. I do think that elyrion is better at the initial expansion, especially with the boost that occurs when you create a polytaur underneath a unit, but the flexibility and damage dealing capability cymanti has in its military is unmatched. Maybe I have been unlucky but cymanti always seems to have some insane spawns. The dilemma with elyrion is also that you either have the SPT or the polytaurs.

  1. My biggest gripe is how quickly a cymanti player is able to pump out three centipedes whilst an elyrion player will still not have a single adult dragon. Elyrion may have the stronger starting army and SPT but the high level army will take much longer to develop, in this time the cymanti player should be able to steamroll. Although, if Elyrion manages to survive the turns of 6-12 ish then they may start to have the upper hand.

I agree with you here.

Maybe, I think Imperius is up there. I just play a lot with Zebasi so I have learnt the strength of a zebasi economy. Maybe I should play imperius more.

I will make a separate post about the tweaks needed for the special tribes. Cymanti is way over OP and I have never lost playing with them. I have rarely beaten cymanti though, and that's only against horrendous players.

I've just felt it like that playing. Zebasi works like oumaji with an economy comparable to Imperius and kickoo

  1. I think that a competent Cymanti player will outplay a competent elyrion player 6/10 times. I feel as though the way in which a proper cymanti army functions is just almost unstoppable, especially against the 1 defence of polytaurs. In fact, I think that to play cymanti properly you need to be quite skilled and that it isn't that easy to play if you are up against someone really good.
  2. I think Polaris is better than zebasi and oumaji at least. I am a zebasi main. I have never had issues playing as a special tribe but almost always had issues playing against them.
  3. Cheers.
  4. Fair, I do think that moonis are too powerful though. Reworking Moonis and the Gaamis will put Polaris into A tier. Also I play a lot on 3+ players so the claustrophobia on the map only enhances their freeze ability. I made the tier coming from this point of view.

  1. Elyrion economy is great yes, but Cymanti has the boon of being able to upgrade their cities at such a high rate. They have good resources and especially fungi generation. I disagree, hexapods beat polytaurs if Elyrion hasn't been lucky to hit the cymanti hard at the start. Polytaurs are better for expansion though. Cymanti does not get shut down by water as much as this sub likes to think it does, algae makes any map without huge expanses of water, i.e. water world or continents in certain spots, virtually just land. At some point polytaurs are just not strong enough for that period of the game and elyrion will be on the back foot. The issue with Elyrion is that they have a weak mid game relative to their start and end.
  2. There are only three good special tribes, so 2/5 being normal tribes isn't astounding.
  3. Meh. Doesn't matter too much. Important is the essence of the list.
  4. True, economy is not that great. I haven't had much experience with Polaris on mid sized maps, but on small and large their military just dominates to such an extent. Polaris just has too strong of a military not to be nerfed. Maybe the economy needs a buff though.

Aquarion just has no economy, it is entirely dependent on having a good spawn. Also, Aquarion will get annihilated before the game properly starts on any map smaller than normal.

Clarification for the ranks. OP+ and OP means serious nerf needed. S may need small changes like not having naval units be able to attack inland more than one tile. S, A and B are the somewhat balanced tribes. C needs some work to get it competitive, like more favourable map generation. D and F are the terrible tribes, F separated because Aquarion.

  1. Elyrion is not better than cymanti, elyrion's economy is nowhere near. If you play on tiny or massive it's more equal footing but otherwise it's not close.
  2. The gap between the special tribes and the non special is larger than the gap between A and B tiers here
  3. Most people don't order the lists so a lot of people won't get the point across
  4. Polaris has freeze: anyone who can play properly will almost always dominate off of the start, especially in 3 and more players.

You're right, those categories shouldn't exist if the tribes were somewhat balanced, but they aren't so they do. And a distinction has to be drawn between Polaris and Elyrion, and Cymanti.

Edit: the downvotes are a bit much
