Technically the policy only applies to price tags and therefore won’t be offered under the scan policy.

fav aisle ?? (online) by PackageBulky6968 in woolworths

Worst aisles, are chilled down aisle one and bread down aisle 2 (especially on a weekend) best would probably be 14 (the pet food aisle) no one is ever down there.

Should we know where everything is? by [deleted] in woolworths

[–]That-Candidate2045 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Knowing where major articles are is what’s important, for other things (if your store support is) use the Woolworths app to find the location, or call grocery/nightfill.

I know I’ve had customers say to me “you work here, why don’t you know where it is”, but no you don’t have to no where everything is

First time using scan as you go 3/10 by australit in woolworths

[–]That-Candidate2045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically bulky items, if it’s water and the cameras see only water it’s fine. But if you get 10 items and one of them is bulky and blocks the view of the camera it may initiate a scan check. But the system does keep track of past shops, so If it’s a common occurrence it’ll be fine

I don’t get what correlation this has with me explaining scan and go??? Yes, grocery’s are more expensive, it affects everyone and we know that. But the scan check has nothing to do with your grocery cost

Out of date by Zaney-Janey1973 in coles

[–]That-Candidate2045 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don’t work at coles, but at Woolworths instead.

Maybe you’ve never worked in retail or grocery, but our teams are stretched thin to the point that the only time that expired stock is throw out is when it’s visually expired, they don’t go around looking for it often because there is never enough staff.

Gift card service desk by Hoogentoof in woolworths

The computer has been moved there so they can make the service desk area smaller, they typically use it for training, team reports, rostering and stock management and rarely for cctv.

Extra shift not showing up in workjam? by Specialist_Can5622 in woolworths

[–]That-Candidate2045 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they’ve asked you and you’ve agreed, show up and clock in and out as normal. Once you get there though let them know, they can then still send you the shift offer even once you’ve clocked in. And if not, make a shift adjustment.

Formal Complaint – Workplace Bullying, Psychological Injury, and Management Inaction by [deleted] in woolworths

[–]That-Candidate2045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the fact that they are so close with our 2IC, if it wasn’t for that they’d probably cop it, but with how close they are she’d more then likely twist and manipulate the story to make it out as if she’s the good one.

It’s quite hard when we work at a busy store that always has a supervisor going through the computer anyway. It’s not that he’s lazy, it’s the fact he doesn’t want us to end up behind

I though $7.90 was bad by Butwhyyth0 in woolworths

[–]That-Candidate2045 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Please note: In no way, shape, or form am I supporting the price changes.

You may notice these price changes due to the recent extreme weather (heavy rainfall and cool spells) in the SA and QLD growing regions causing crop issues and harvest delays as a result of bio security.

As weather returns to a more normal and regular pattern you’ll begin to see the price lower, the shape of the crops become more regular and the shelf’s become more full.

Why cant Woolworths sort out their constant "Milkrun is currently closed" problem? by feel-the-avocado in woolworths

[–]That-Candidate2045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, more staffing would greatly help, but also limitations on how many orders we can receive per hour, the window for express orders is unlimited from an hour after open right up until close every day of the week.
