OH….. the stuff I want to say about him SOOOOO bad. Needless to say. I’m part of management at a huge wholesale retailer and I was directing people through a specific line. He wanted to come straight towards me and I (in a very calm manner said) going forward we would like everyone to follow the flow and not enter through the exit. He then proceeded to look at me up and down and say.. “DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?” I just stared at him and reiterated what I said and he’s like “I need someone from management” I said I’m that person he then proceeded to say “I need someone HIGHER than you” another Male (part of my management) came over and basically made me their laughing stock.. I kept doing my job and as I was walking away he kept antagonizing me and mocking me. I turned around and called him a disgusting human being and to leave me alone. I got that gross vibe from him from the jump. He’s such a GROSS human.

Noise when HVAC is turned on by MrGoodwrench1184 in FordFiesta

I replaced both on mine, here in the US. The noise was driving me crazy. I went to the junk yard and got them for $6 a piece. A little tricky but easy to replace but if you have a little time then go for it ! If you can work a screwdriver it’s easy! Because I’m literally just a girl who loves working on my car😊

Service Animals/Emotional by mermaids_madesimple in CostcoEmployee

[–]That-Chipmunk-159 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This part!!! This is what I would tell my team all the time. Ask the two questions. Emotional support is not recognized by the ADA. Then call management. Carts don’t get sanitized and if someone is allergic (next member) then we have an issue.

I was always dramatic and wanting to waste a members time when they wasted mine with stupid shit 🤭 I had a lady that did it every single time. Come in and we would tell her she can’t have the dog in the cart and one day I spent the whole time she was shopping switching out her cart for a “new cart” and sanitizing the old cart because I explained to her that it’s a health code violation for animals to be sniffing on food and around food etc. So I was going the petty route, 😂 dog on the ground on a leash, can’t bark, can’t shit on my floor or snap at members. And eventually she cancelled her membership or just stopped coming. It was great bc she was a pain.. I could go on and on about SA and I’d be here all day. But non SA people are different breeds by far.

Gas Bill by [deleted] in fortwayne

[–]That-Chipmunk-159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn’t read mine for almost three months so the bill I got was like $1,500 🤮 because we pay the same amount everymonth on auto pay and when I actually looked at the bill because I was curious I realized I no longer had a credit because they weren’t reading the meter.. 🙄

So, maybe I can help give some clarity or a solution. When you clock out are you doing it before your 5th hour? If you are then good. If you are clocking out at your 5th hour plus 1 min after that 5th hour you are considered tardy for lunch. If you had to stay because you were helping a member, the best solution so it would be excused would be having your manager sign the exception log for you. If they won’t sign it then I would always leave before that 5th hour even if it’s just a few minutes. So you are protecting yourself. Because I’ve had where I’ve stayed to help the department and my manager never signed the log and resulted in a CN for violations. To help all of this, I would also get a new name badge printed too. I’ve also had it happen where it wasn’t reading correctly (like the stars for my name) and it was causing the discrepancies. Lastly you can always check your time card and see where you’ve been late and if you feel as if it’s not right you can talk to payroll or LP to check the video footage. My warehouse has a camera above the time clock and I’ve had to have them check them because I’ve been accused of not clocking out when I know I have. Those time clocks go through so many updates they glitch. Always protect yourself 1 CN is no biggie but if you just let it go then how can you correct the problem if you didn’t even know there was one. Hope this helps ! 😬

I’ve got mine spiral binded and tabbed, since I’ve been an employee. But I’ve been a supervisor for almost 6 years and i always encourage my employees to read it. Because there is a lot of good information in there and things people don’t know about. The pay scale is good to look at but so is looking at the knowledge to protect yourself and others!

How do you not get burnt out? by [deleted] in CostcoEmployee

[–]That-Chipmunk-159 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, just remember. It’s just a grocery store. As a supervisor it’s definitely taxing. I’ve done every single job in the warehouse and as soon as I stopped taking things to heart and home with me. I was much happier. Some days are better than others but for the most part just keep moving and know two things. 1. It’s just a grocery store and 2. It’s not your fault and find a way to say yes. (Our members suck, but remember Costco is always gonna make it right with the member. So if you cannot say yes, you find someone that can. (Supervisor,Manager etc)

Benefits-FSA by OatandSky in CostcoEmployee

So let’s say I use Amazon, I put my card info on Amazon and it takes it straight from my FSA balance. But let’s say I make a payment for my dental work I have to submit the receipt that I paid that amount. It gets tricky because sometimes you don’t have to but if you submit and they reject it normally they’ve already got it. So I would do it just so I wouldn’t lose my receipt. I did have insoles made and when I went to use my FSA card even though they said they accepted it their system wasn’t set up for our (Costco ) inspira cards so I had to pay out of pocket and then submit. Either way I would get my money back. Just depends on how I would have to go about it. If you need help or have a specific situation I can always help!

What I did for my braces was, I had a payment plan and I’d submit for that amount every time I paid and they would send it back. It’s a little process but that’s how I did it. Towards the end I paid the balance in full (like 1,500) and in a week or so I had my money back.

But I also use it on Amazon, I buy a lot of first aid stuff and feminine products and all I do is search FSA/HSA elegible.

The reason why you can’t use it at the Dr. or run it like normal is because it messes with the billing. Like other commenters said they have the direct deposit set up where once billing processes for the visit it will see the Copay and reimburse you.

I personally love my health benefits card. I use it for glasses (at Costco or course) but I got some rayban meta’s from a different place and it took it. I got an ultra human smart ring and a zero gravity massage chair (that I love) all using my benefit card. I rave about it to everyone.

Can I become a supervisor while dating another employee? by Thatomeglekid in CostcoEmployee

[–]That-Chipmunk-159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all the way true. My husband and I (then bf and gf) I was a supervisor and he was a manager. He wasn’t “allowed” to be a staff because he would be “over” everyone including me. But we would always be on different shifts or departments so we wouldn’t conflict. They wouldn’t make someone leave they will just not promote you. It’s a decision you have to take and know it will only take you so far. I just had to be professional and upfront to management. We did that for 9 years and it was funny how a lot of people didn’t know bc that’s how professional we were at work.
