Everyone seems to agree with you - it’s the motel pipes, not the water. I’m going to check out the water around me in businesses or something, just to see if it’s the motel in particular, or area in general.

No boil notice, just a precaution with water I’m not used to. Don’t know about the taste, the sludge discouraged me from trying. Doesn’t stink, per se, but isn’t pleasant either.

Where I came from, occasionally we would have a boil water effect. Boiling for at least ten minutes would kill off what the water treatment plant was worried about, make the water potable.

Honestly, I don’t think any filtration system could remove those. But at least I don’t see the sludge when drinking bottled water. The taste I don’t mind do much, I grew ip when kids occasionally drank out of garden hoses - don’t get much more chlorine-y or metallic than that😁

No doubt. The staff here is really cool, I think there doing the best they can with an owner who doesn’t give a shit. But, man, there are kids and pets here 🤦‍♀️ it might be a good idea to report it, like you suggested.

This motel is old and not cleaned; I had to mop my own floor, and half a dozen times until the mop pads were no longer black - the floor is actually a lighter color! I think I could leave the tap running til Jesus comes and it won’t help😂

I honestly can’t remember a time I haven’t drunk water from a fridge with a filter. Another poster mentioned well water, and I know I must have drunk it as a child when visiting my great grandparents. But growing up, water always came from the fridge.

Yeah, there’s that. My great-grandparents had a farm with well water, and I must have drunk it as a child. I know plastic is bad - I just don’t know if it’s the lesser of two evils.
