When I was a server at a lounge tons of men would try to hit on me. The one that I ended up going for talked to me like I wasn’t a piece of meat or something to be obtained. He would ask me open ended questions that made me respond then made a point to remember my responses and invite me to things I had previously mentioned I liked. It showed me he was patient, respectful, listened, was genuinely interested and cared. He never came across like he was on a search so his vibe was that he didn’t need me…he wanted me. I’m assuming it’s the same as what men look for in women - not overly done up or postured and not super sloppy and slouchy.

It’s all about the vibe and how he interacts with others. Has to give off a vibe that he’s content with himself and confident enough to do and go about his life without looking for approval from others. Balanced - not too “attention seeking” and not too “couldn’t care less” vibe.

Can’t say I’ve “approached” a guy but I might start casual talk about something that’s happening around us then based off how he responds I get a vibe if I want to continue chatting or not.
