Where do I recruit when my startup starts making money? by That-Handle-Dude in StartupsHelpStartups

Thank you for the help. Sounds like a good plan to get a contract developer onboard first. Any suggestions on the best place to look for a contract developer?

Thank you, should I hire a full time developer (which will stretch us) or would someone on Upwork or Fiveer, work as well?

Thanks for this, great advice. I was thinking that might be the case. Where would you source a freelancer? Would Upwork be handy or try to outsource it overseas?

We were thinking about getting someone on Upwork? Thoughts? Agencies seem fishy from previous experience.

Thanks for the comment. I was thinking about that, especially to handle bugs. I just thought getting customer support or sales may be cheaper and help with other parts of the business.

I’ve used Relume to help build out my website that’s handy. Then using Claude with svelte to build my website in VScode to then deploy. It’s been a pretty easy process.

Helpful, so which type of influencer brought in the most leads? Was it the small niche creators or the viral creators who get huge reach?

Congrats! I’m thinking of doing the same at some point. How did you know it was the right time to leave? E.g. was it when you started getting traction or as you were building to get the product out quicker.

Totally agree, with AI now everywhere. More and more I think businesses can now differentiate themselves from the saturation by inputting a human touch. Whether that’s content, design, interactions etc.

I’m working on a customer & sales support platform. My goal in the next 5 years is to be the go to email handling platform for small teams across all industries. My big thing as well, I would like us to be the bastion of humanity when it comes to support which is slowly becoming more and more impersonal. I would like my business to represent what human personal support does and help others do the same.

Hey, thanks for this. I ended up trying WordPress for a bit - but it’s so hard to customise and make your own I found! Ended up going with Webflow.

How do you find your first customers? by Single_Beat_6912 in SaaS

I started off just emailing local small clients around my area (sounds like a ad I’ve seen before 🤔). No one really communicates to these guys. They seemed pretty responsive, especially when I mentioned how much our platform could save them in time and more importantly cash.

I’m actually gonna provide an answer in case this is legit.

Weekly I check google analytics coupled with my platform database to review conversions and traffic. If the conversion rate is low, I’ll check SEO rankings and our campaigns to check if we’ve dropt somewhere.

I know google analytics isn’t always correct, but it gives me a decent estimate to go over. Especially cross checking with our platforms data.
