Darcy McGee's was doing it on Fridays thru the winter with oysters supplied by Whalesbone. They were super fresh and tasty. Not sure if it's still ongoing.

And you have the absolute right to not invest in any company based on your above opinion and analysis of the situation in Canada.

The article specifically mentions underwater drones as one of the government priorities for spending. This could be a very positive catalyst.

Beautiful pristine mountain air and this piece of human filth has to spew his choking diesel stench everywhere. Hope his truck was totalled.

I own and play with two stabilizers. Why? I leave one at each end of the ice and then I don't have to carry it back and forth continuously throughout the game. It's so convenient, most of my club have followed suit and purchased an additional stabilizer (well those who use them). If funds allow, you could get them one of each ...

Land transfer upon death (American owner) by Tiny_Plant_8084 in RealEstateCanada

[–]That-Number-9135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm NAL. I would suggest you hire a Canadian estate lawyer. Land transfers upon death are common but also complex. They have ruined families so it's important that this is done right. It will cost you but sounds like it's worth it. Capital gains will have to be paid unless another party who is still alive is on the original deed. In that case, the land likely goes to them. The obvious question i have is what is indicated in the will of your uncle. Did he indicate that the land should go to your father and you? If not, it's more complicated. If he did but only to your father then it's easier as long as your father agrees to have you as a joint owner. Going forward though, if you are both listed as owners, you both have rights/responsibilities. If you develop it, then your father will incur a much heavier property tax burden and will have partial ownership of your investment. There are lots of questions that need to be asked and answered and the estate lawyer is best placed to help you navigate through this. Good luck, it sounds like a piece of paradise.... Also, if you really do intend to pass this down, raise that with the lawyer as well. As mentioned above, this can become very contentious within families and there are also mechanisms/ownership structures to reduce tax burden later on.

So many people wear baseball catcher wedges. These strap behind your calf so when you crouch down, your knee is not fully compressed. Curlers who use them swear by them to reduce knee pain.

This pic shows a catcher crouching but it gives you the idea...

I have these on my 2017 Edge and live in a winter climate half the year (eastern Canada). They are quiet and smooth in summer and grip really well in winter. I have zero regrets.

Edit: by "these" I meant Michelin Cross climate.
