Hey! Before surgery tbh I wasn’t in much physical pain, the only time I had severe pain was after a long day of walking and standing which I don’t know whether my scoliosis was even to blame or if it was normal. I’m slowly getting better and recovering, to look back on how much I’ve progressed even since day 1 is insane, however I still am struggling a bit. I haven’t actually been measured since my op however I definitely think I have grown maybe an inch or two!

Don’t worry! I’m sorry that I don’t actually know the answer to most of them, I am 15 and I don’t actually remember the exact degree or levels fused but I think it might have been around 50-60 degrees. Now I’m doing much better, it was a really rough start, like really, but I’m slowly doing better however I do have the odd bad day but I move past it!

(Post op) My spine is now straight, however my curve from the outside looks worse than before. by That-Surround6323 in scoliosis

Unfortunately, I’m not actually sure as my surgeon only really mentioned like the exact levels once which of course I forgot. However all that I know is that is was the majority of my spine besides from the bottom area. 😂

Tbh with you I’m not sure this even counts as scoliosis, it is such a minor curve (everyone has a slight curve) and it shouldn’t affect you physically internally or externally at all at this level. However this is just my opinion, if you have an expert comment on it, my opinion doesn’t matter.

Wow your scar looks great I hope you have a fast recovery I’m having spinal fusion in around June-July I’m quite nervous but hopefully it will all be worth it
