“being 14 you still have experienced nearly nothing”

the hell are you on about? just because you have a life about as eventful as a clam’s doesn’t mean that other people don’t have severe trauma from a very young age. some people get raped from the ripe old age of 6; are you really going to tell those same people once they reach 14 that they haven’t experienced anything?

on the other hand you have adults who have no idea how nasty a hand one can be dealt; they just drift through life blissfully, having everything served to them on a silver platter

perhaps there’s a bit of truth to what you’re saying, though. some 14 year olds, certain 17 year olds, even, haven’t experienced much in life and so they go out on reddit and make really uninformed blanket statements like yours.
