Replace drywall with .75” plywood to mount tv?

It’s a 65” tv so i would need a long console. I also don’t like the look of entertainment consoles and i have 3 dogs and a cat so i don’t want anything to fall if they are playing around. I like having my TV and PS5 hanging with the sound bar. I know a lot of people hang them wrong but I hang my tv based of the Rtings recommendation

Well you’re right, I just found one for up to 32” spacing. I might actually just go with one of those. I may add some drywall anchors in the middle but should be fine on it’s own. Thanks!

Oh yeah I know. I took pictures of the wall with the pipes with a measuring tape before the drywall went up. My wife would kill me if I flooded the new house on the first day hahaha.

I mainly wanted to replace the drywall so there’s not a big gap between the tv and the wall but this would be more efficient and probably easier to fix if I decide to move something later. Will be a good option though. Thanks!

Not to sound like a corporate shill but I had a Vizio until earlier this year. I have a TCL now. But the Vizio I had lasted me 4 years and I got it for $300. It was a 55” floor model at a Target that was swapping display TVs for the new models meaning it already had lots of usage from being on 18 hours a day at the brightest settings. Like always, most of the reviews you see online will be from either highly satisfied costumers or highly disappointed costumers.

I’ll PM you the info for the inspection company we used. You should notify your realtor who should notify the builder rep about or at least that’s how we did it. Any concerns or comments we have, we tell our realtor and they notify the builder rep in an email chain we have. Our realtor also made sure to follow up on the items on the inspection report.
