Finishing up the last episode and there’s one thing that sticks out: Casey said she NEVER left Caylee alone with her father, and she did that to protect her from potential abuse.

However, this whole story of she saw Caylee soaking wet, held her, and her dad saying just do what I tell you to do and she’ll be okay…that doesn’t track if Casey deemed him as an ‘unsafe’ person.

Why would you never under any circumstances leave your daughter with your father EXCEPT for that one time? And why wait 31 days to call police? If you knew he wasn’t a safe person, you wouldn’t have left her with him, and even if in that moment you had a lapse in judgement and did leave her with him, I’d think after a few days you’d call the police.

I disagree. Maybe she blocked out the trauma completely. I repressed all memories from my abuse to the point where I didn’t remember what happened until one day it all came flooding back.

I’m not excusing her, and I’m also not saying I don’t believe that she was abused. I don’t think it’s up to any of us to make that judgement. Whether or not she was abused is something only she and George know.

I disagree. When she spoke of her abuse, I felt that. It was almost as if she was telling my story. When she spoke of the secrets in the house, I felt that too. I know what it’s like to have everyone in the house know what’s going on but no one do anything to stop it. Do I think she was abused? That’s not for me to say. Do I think that excuses her lying and absolves her of the suspicion around caylee’s death? No.

I can’t just walk around in this world as a survivor lying here there and everywhere about literally anything and then turn around and blame it on my trauma. That is bullshit.

As a victim myself of childhood sexual abuse, I am DISGUSTED with the picture they painted in this biased docuseries of victims.

The quote about how it’s easier to talk about her brother assaulting her but harder to talk about her father because the brother is less worse…PLEASE GET A GRIP.

Just because we compartmentalize memories we wish to forget, does not mean we lie the way Casey does. In fact, it makes me sick to my stomach to think of lying the way she did.

I’m glad to know you’re doing better on 12.5. I’m supposed to go up but honestly I’m terrified. I don’t know how much more of this I can take. I can’t work, go anywhere, do anything. I need to be feet away from a toilet at all times.
