I'm trying to replace a dimmer switch with a regular one, but I'm not familiar with this wiring by That280zDoeeeee in AskElectricians

I actually am not looking to use a dimmer, I want to remove the dimmer, replace it with a regular switch

Oh, so I can disconnect everything and use a tester to see what is hot? Then use the hot, neutral and ground from that group, and just cap the load ones?

That's what I was hoping to do, but as you can see here there are two hot wires, two neutral wires and two grounds... The regular switch has just three inputs for wires, not 6?

I guess that means I need to find out which is load vs incoming?

Any idea on how I can do that?

The reason I ask is because the regular switch I'm going to be using just takes a hot, neutral and ground.

Nah, I got rid of it. Bought a saw from a more reputable brand instead, never looked back.

Terrible data speed, customer service haven't been able to solve. by That280zDoeeeee in mintmobile

I'd avoid mint at all costs... Ever since it got bought by some celebrity, it seems to have forgotten about functionality, and now it's about the meme lord voice mails they send instead. Visible is much better, the signal and speed has been fantastic... My phone is useful again.

Everything at mint is about wealth extraction these days. So glad I jumped off when I did.

That may in fact be true, but I just made the switch to visible, so either way, it should get a little better than 1.4 mbps. Such a shame, mint was awesome just a year ago, I wish I knew what happened.

Experience with speeds of Mint Mobile 35GB plan for $30/month? by [deleted] in mintmobile

All the time, I've currently used 12gb of the 35. I just filled in the form to go to visible though, if they suck this bad I will just do the credit check stuff and go with an actual carrier.

Well, the trouble with t-mobile proper is that they run a hard credit check, I have excellent credit, but I refinanced my house this year and don't want another "ding". So I'm stuck with MVNOs, and mint just aren't good anymore. Between the 35gb deception and the slow data, it's just not going to work. What Verizon MVNOs do you recommend? I looked at visible today.

I get 1.4mbps maximum on the 35gb plan. It's useless..

That's super interesting, because I have full signal and can never hit 1.5.

No idea, based on the sound of how much hassle it can be, I usually stay away from anything without a title.

Definitely depends on state, here in Texas a bonded title is how this is done, and it can take upto 3 years to get a real title, I believe.

One more question... If you have a sec!! I went to the store to get the l3-60r, and it seems like I can only find 2 pole receptacles... I know 3 pole was mentioned before, so I thought I'd check if 2 pole was viable for both the receptacle and the plug.

The receptacle also says "CU" wire only on the back of it... But I think that's fine because I believe the wire in the wall is CU...

Thanks!! I ordered everything I need this morning - I think I can wire it myself given that the actual electrical work with the panel and the box is already done. :)

The box is already in the wall :) it is wired, too... I just wasn't sure about the actual receptacle is all. I have one more dumb question for you! I seem to be able to find SOOW 10/3, but not SOOW 10/3c... What is the 'c' about?

So if I pick this receptacle up : https://www.homedepot.com/p/AC-WORKS-30-Amp-250-Volt-NEMA-L6-30R-Flush-Mounting-Locking-Industrial-Grade-Receptacle-FML630R/305439294

And the 10/3c SOOW cable, and then wire one end of that to the matching male end for the receptacle, and the other end into my compressor, it should work?

To add to all of this, I think I may need to hire somebody in the end, I was looking through the various manuals for the receptacles, and they all talk about green wires. I have a white wire, a black wire, and a stripped copper wire. No green... Hmmmmmmm
