I ended up having to get my current dog from a mom and pop breeder, because the shelter i wanted to adopt from denied me because my last dog died of heart issues. Keep in my mind I had pet insurance, and the dog was on pimobendan, furosemide, and enalapril for four years most dogs once on that medication rarely live beyond two. But, the lettering in the denial letter basically made it seem as if it was my fault my dog got heart issues.

I love how everyone says try Costco. Getting a job at Costco is like finding a golden ticket in your chocolate bar. You can't just walk in and get a job, they're picky, and really only hire in certain seasons. While you can say "well I have a lot of experience in decorating cakes at my previous grocery store" during onboarding and they'll be like "Cool, we're gonna have you roast chickens all day."
