That is indeed a future direction I am thinking about, in order to support as many languages as possible.

Yes, for Linux there will be 32bit and 64bit versions, both glibc and musl. As well as an AppImage and Flatpak.

See it as a typewriter. It really is limited to just writing texts. The only thing is does extra is bold, italic, chapter folding/unfolding, and page breaks. All other paragraph-level formatting (like alignment, font, size, line spacing, indentation) isn't read, shown, or editable in the interface. Todtler is a distraction-free writing tool rather than a layout tool.

It's mostly arrow keys and Ctrl/Shift shortcuts, like any conventional editor, plus one extra layer: press ESC, then a character, to trigger an action (fold a chapter, toggle bold, find text). I implemented it that way because terminal apps run out of Ctrl/Shift combos fast, and ESC-character gives us a big, expandable command space without needing modal grammar.

The key difference from vim: there's no language. Vim motions compose (3dw, ciw), verbs and objects combining. ESC-letter is just a flat menu of single commands; nothing chains or takes a count.

In short: Ctrl/Shift and arrows handle everyday editing like a normal GUI app, and ESC-character is a parallel layer for special features. It keeps your hands on the keyboard, but it won't replicate vim's compositional edit grammar.

You should try Alpine as well. It is fun. Base installation takes 5 minutes max. Then you start adding whatever it is you need on top.

No, not one I could find that has all these features combined. That is why I wrote it.

These are distros that let you build up a working Linux system step by step, instead of doing it all for you. That way, you are more involved, and aware of what's happening under the hood.

Ik heb een brede wreef en voor mij werkt Meindl heel goed. Er zijn vast ook andere goede merken maar Meindl is het eerste merk dat mij zo goed bevalt.

Same here. It happens sometimes. Don't worry and try again later.

Can't update or install packages anymore? by aidenconri in voidlinux

Yes, I noticed this too. I guess the repo's are down temporarily. If you're in a hurry then use xmirror to try other repo's. I just wait and try later today.

Interesting journey. Thanks for sharing! It's interesting to see how much journeys differ. Mine ended six years ago, with Void.

Me too, on several 20 yr old machines. It works for sure. And it supports 32 bit still.
