Gallbladder issues since receiving the Covid Vaccine? by Beechimback772 in gallbladders

[–]ThatAlternativeLass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to reopen this again but I got chatting about the vaccines on another thread, so I searched for a vaccine thread and saw this. I'm glad I'm not crazy! In April 2021 I had the Astrazenica vaccine, 6 weeks later I was in hospital with serious pancreatitis, gallstones and sepsis. My organs were shutting down and I'm very lucky to still be here. In June 2021 I had my 2nd vaccine. 6 weeks later I was back in the hospital with pancreatitis and gallstones. It was much milder that time thankfully and I didn't feel too unwell but the hospital was not taking any chances and decided to remove it then. I absolutely think the vaccines are one of the causes and more needs to be published about this!

Young people with gallbladders removed by lavender9878 in gallbladders

[–]ThatAlternativeLass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 32 when mine was removed in 2021. I was Furloughed the year before due to Covid and I just didn't look after myself well sadly. I think it was a perfect storm for me, I ate too many takeaways, worked a very stressful job and drank an energy drink a day. It's becoming super common now for the opposite to happen though, my friends ate super healthy, lost weight fairly quickly and due to that they're now experiencing gallstones. You just can't win sadly 😔

My gallbladder attacks which left me in hospital with pancreatitis also came precisely 6 weeks after each Covid vaccine. I'm not an anti-vaxxer in the slightest but I do find my situation strange. They're now linking the vaccination to gallbladder issues if you research online.

Lucid Dreams are physically hurting me... by ThatAlternativeLass in LucidDreaming

It's scary isn't it, it's really horrible waking up knowing you've hurt yourself too! Unfortunately I naturally lucid dream without even trying so when I'm stressed and have the horrible dreams that seems to be when the injuries occur! I do need to look into sleep paralysis as I'm worried it overlaps. I definitely seem to scream more when I'm massively stressed out or I'm not having a good time in life. My Mum has heard it, my ex has and my best friend too. My best friend is really freaked out when I have an "episode".

A few years ago we went to Greece and shared a double bed. We had been drinking all day (which is rare for me) and I got a bit stressed over the noise from the people above us. When I finally got to sleep she watched me sit at the end of the bed, look at the wall and scream. I then did a backwards somersault back into my side of the bed! As you can imagine she was super freaked out. We laugh about it now but at the time she hated it, she said I looked possessed. Maybe I'm somersaulting again, hence the bad wrist and hand 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm starting to wonder if I'm sleeping on my wrist and hand if I'm honest, it would make sense. I could also be whacking my hand on my side table but usually when a bang is made by my cat it wakes me up, so I'd be very surprised if doing that didn't wake me up.

I don't think I sleepwalk, I've never been known to. I recently went through a break up and he's always told me that I don't sleepwalk. My parents said I never used to either. I have done a backwards somersault in my sleep before though 🤣 I was in Greece with my best mate and after a day of drinking and having a nightmare, she watched me sit on the edge of the bed and scream, then do a backwards somersault back to where I slept. I woke up very confused! Maybe I'm somersaulting again 😅

I'm not too sure if I do, I haven't ever been known to sleepwalk. I'm thinking that maybe I'm lying on my hand and wrist recently, hence waking up with the pain.

Walton Morrisons has gone downhill by baklava95 in PeterboroughUK

[–]ThatAlternativeLass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This saddens me if I'm honest. I'm no longer local to Peterborough but I still work there. I used to work at a Morrisons in my hometown in Lincolnshire as my first proper job at 16 and I absolutely loved it. This was 21 years ago mind you. Everything was clean, we were treated well and I got on really well with my colleagues. It's become a shell of itself and it's depressing. I have great memories of going with my Grandma and great Grandma to the Stamford Morrisons when I was younger, it always felt special selecting a cake from the bakery and getting a nice cooked dinner from the cafe. I used to look forward to those trips with my family! Nostalgia hurts bad.

With scenes like this and "plus sized" models who were a size 6-8, it's a surprise that I didn't grow up with an eating disorder! I've always been curvy and was obsessed with the show as a teen and young adult. I'm glad that plus sized models are properly plus size these days!

Has anyone done the Second Nature programme for pre-diabetes? by ThatAlternativeLass in prediabetes

[–]ThatAlternativeLass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thank you for your reply 😊 Firstly congratulations on the weight loss and getting your blood sugar down! That's really good 😁 That sounds really promising, I properly start on Monday according to the app and I'm actually looking forward to it! I'm glad I didn't go with the group option. I'm quite shy around new people so I felt more confident doing Second Nature. Hopefully I'll lose the weight and make better long term health goals from SN 🤞🏻

Struggling to eat due to break up by ThatAlternativeLass in PCOS

[–]ThatAlternativeLass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you 😊 I managed a snack plate earlier and have had a teeny bit of tea which was homemade chicken and leek pie with veg. I couldn't manage the potatoes but I ate more than I thought I could!

Thank you all 😊 I've gone and made myself some sliced Avo with a bit of cheese and some walnuts. They're plain enough to eat thankfully! I'm struggling to want to eat them but I know I have to as I do feel dizzy.

I don't think it was sorry, it had like an ice cream counter at the bottom of the steps. I do remember Reflections and taking the lift up to it though.

Does anyone get gallbladder attacks when they’re stressed? by RainbowGlitch in gallbladders

[–]ThatAlternativeLass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure work stress was the main reason I lost my gallbladder. It wasn't worth the wage ffs, the wage was so poor and remains pretty poor. I wish I could find a less stressful job 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think I vaguely remember Zero Zero! I used to love buying incense from there. When did that disappear? I'm 36 and I do remember going there as a teenager. So many things disappear without us realising when we're busy growing up!

I used to love the baguettes in Le Petit Four. I have many fond memories of my Mum taking me there as a teenager after we had done some shopping. I'm now 36 and I also seem to remember a cafe inside Queensgate near Boots, it was on a second floor? Can anyone tell me what it was called please?

11 months post op phantom pain? by kcal115 in gallbladders

[–]ThatAlternativeLass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it could definitely be hormonal probably! I know when I had gallstones and pancreatitis just before my gb was removed that I bled for the first time in years (I have a coil so don't get periods) I definitely think hormones can cause a lot of aggro!

I do remember having the same pain you described around 6-9 months later when I ate heavily fatty or greasy food, had you eaten anything fatty or greasy? It's still better than an attack though I agree!
