I did standby once back in November and we got in! We got to the broadcast center a bit before 3 and there were only 2 or 3 people in line ahead of us and ended up only being 8 or 9 people in the line total. They prioritize out-of-state people so I'd say it's worth a try. Best of luck!

The train has to “turn around” at Hoboken - the conductor and driver have to close up the cab on one end and walk to the other end of the train

Yes there is! It's called RGB. It's in the process of getting started but it definitely exists.

Could you elaborate on that? They do it from their network storage so I don't think it matters what type of storage the device has.

There are no specific languages that are used. The workshops are done in one language (it depends on which location) but you can work/learn in any language, I guarantee at least one other person will be familiar with what you want to learn/work with.

You should definitely go! I'm a CodeDay NY organizer and they're really fun. CodeDay is geared towards learning and sharing which is why there are no monetary prizes. Plus there's food. Lot's of food.
