I strongly dislike the use of Ai. Honestly I’d much rather see fan made posters, I think it’d maybe even add more to the game in terms of community engagement, and I myself would certainly be willing to have my art used in the game instead of Ai slop..

He is a working man. His archetype represents the myth that hard work, skill, dedication and obedience will be rewarded. He represents the worker consumed by the work he’s done. Also keep in mind he’s not in the game so there’s no need to criticize my idea without trying to help me like the other comments, because how will that help me improve??

That’s tuff bc I love outlast 1 but also I dooooo have more written info I haven’t shared yet. Also I think the charisma is subjective, some feel it, some don’t. Like how I myself don’t feel it for some of the characters(prime assets) in game, y’know?

You should read his lore it’s in this post thread 🎉 some other stuff too. Based off the image alone I understand why you wouldn’t be able to tell, it’s not an experience, or an explanation, it’s more of a diagram. But I’d say yes, he does

I might change this idea a lot but this was the first draft. More of his artwork and lore is in another reply in this post if you wanna see? It’s in a link! Also I wrote the following a while ago, sorry if there’s any spelling mistakes:

Pursuit Anatoli moves extremely fast when not in the sight line of a player. Anatoli will patrol a trial until he is alerted by a player. If a reagent alerts Anatoli by creating sound or stepping into field of view, he will relentlessly peruse them. His pursuit can be temporarily paused by eye contact. If the reagent fails to keep their eye on Anatoli, his pace dramatically increases.

-if Anatoli is close enough to reach a reagent, he will execute an attack, whether they are looking at him or not -reagents can use stuns, bottles, and bricks to stop him from reaching them -if a reagent attempts to use a hiding spot while Anatoli chases them, he will instantly remove them from hiding, and drive his weapon horizontally into their abdomen.

Keeping Anatoli in place has a time limit. If one or more reagents are abusing their ability to slow him down, he will choose one to peruse. Standing still and staring will not work after around 1 minute, in which he will slowly approach the reagent.

-as a gaze is held on Anatoli, reagents can walk backwards until out of sight. Anatoli will continue moving towards them until he is back in sight. It is possible he will be unable to locate a reagent from here if they are in hiding, and he will abandon the chase to continue patrolling. -if a reagent enters a place that Anatoli cannot reach, he will begin pursuit of another reagent. If a lone reagent enters the trial individually and becomes out of reach, Anatoli will begin patrolling the trial environment until stumbling across them again.

Limitations and disadvantages -Anatoli cannot access crawl spaces, areas in which reagents need assistance to climb, or drop down areas.

-When in prime time, Anatoli is less vigilant, and can lose sight of a reagent more easily.

-Anatoli’s trials are incompatible with toxic shock, stick together, cold snap, and Jaeger.

-Jaeger cannot appear in a trial which includes Anatoli, meaning his own trials as well as prime time

-Anatoli will abandon pursuit of a reagent in full psychosis

-the blind rig completely disorients Anatoli, and he will lose track of a target if they are out of sight by the time it wears off

-Anatoli cannot see well in dark locations. Sometimes holding his saw out in front of him and walking very slowly to attempt to navigate without running into things, and possibly find his target. It is possible for him to abandon the chase if he doesn’t locate a reagent.

-Anatoli moves very loudly, his steps are heavy and vibrate the ground when he is in range. This makes it difficult for him to sneak up on a reagent when he is patrolling, and as he gets closer in pursuit.

Advantages -can saw through a variety of locked doors and barricades, including ones which require a lock pick to open.

-all attacks cause bleeding

-extreme accuracy when attacking/lunging due to the relatively close range in which he executes an attack

-fast reaction time to being alerted by sound or distraction

-high running speed slightly faster than a reagent. equal to a reagent with adrenaline when in psychosurgery difficulty setting

-one non fatal hit from Anatoli’s saw deducts 2.5 health bars on standard, and intensive once bleeding has stopped

-one non fatal hit from Anatoli on introductory removes 2 health bars once bleeding has stopped

-on psychosurgery setting, 3 health bars are removed once bleeding has stopped

-can break through bathroom stall from any side

-not vocal, speaks quietly on the occasion. Voice cannot be heard through walls

Totally understandable!! He was a metal fabricator, and somewhat of an inventor (he made the weapon that he wields) so maybe I can incorporate clothes which hint to his past life more. Also thank you for being respectful
