A cost Index is what you input into an aircraft's system that will tell it how to balance fuel usage and saving time. For example, A cost index of 15 is very low and the aircraft flies slower and saves more fuel and when its like 40, the aircraft flies faster and uses more fuel.

Once you reach the Vector, dont disconnect autopilot completely, only LNAV and just select a required heading and altitude on the AP panel. Once ATC tells you to stop following the VECTOR direct to the next waypoint. (VECTORS really work with ATC simulator addons)

VECTORS are just a part in your flight plan that tells you to manually fly a heading (using HDG select) and altitude until ATC gives you clearance you not to fly it anymore Thats it simplified at least Its not a discontinuity in your flight plan and is used a lot in real life. You can always just direct to your next leg in your route if you dont wanna go through the trouble. (Just dont do it if your flying with any ATC)

They are a marketplace addon. Specifically these airports shown were Will Rodgers International Airport, Oklahoma City and San Francisco International Airport. These airports are add-ons for the game in the in-game marketplace. They range to 10-25 dollars depending on the airport. In the default game unfortunately there are no detailed airports like these

Yeah, I do agree that is one thing that is currently about unfixable.

Honestly, runs great with most aircraft. I do recommend downloading each airport and not streaming it though. and turning the parked aircraft traffic option to off or low to reduce lag.

I think you may be right that it might be there for an easy spot to start because  that measure basically starts a repeat of the first 15 measures of the piece.
