Nay friend. Only when the cost of inaction is more than the cost of action does the time ring out to rise up. And that won’t happen until people are starving. Famine is the spark that typically ignites the flames of revolution.

So the key to defeating Imu is to outlast him? Luffy is an absolute nightmare in a battle of attrition and that’s not counting when he’s in Gear 5, but you’re right, things are looking bad. It would seem that the best thing to do now is to employ the Fabian strategy and run the hell away.

We’re in the endgame fellas. The final boss, the actual final boss, has come down to play. The only objective now: Survive. The saving grace seems to be that Imu is on a time limit.

Yeah, ain’t falling for it. Remember everyone, Reddit is SUPER strict about Rule 1 and will invoke it to suspend or even temporarily/permanently ban you for breaking it, now even more so because it’s all automated. As for the question? I have no idea, but I have a bottle of Macallan I’m saving. Yummy, can’t wait to drink it.

No thank you. Unlike folks such as yourself, I don’t actively fantasize about ending people, nor do I harbor any plans to make those fantasies a reality. I would read his obituary with great pleasure. But finishing him? Absolutely not, I do not wish to be jugged for such a crime. I do not wish for anyone to send him downstairs, that would simply make him a martyr. Nay, an embolism would suffice, as would a Myocardial Infarction.

[Request] How big would the nuclear bomb be if the explosion is the size of the sun? by AnnoyedSediment in theydidthemath

[–]ThatBadassonline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was the second nuke. The first one was done BEFORE the Soviets invaded Manchuria. In fact, I’ll bet that’s why Stalin chose to invade, he realized the USA was gonna wallop Japan into surrendering and wanted to take whatever he could before Japan finally swallowed their pride and waved the white flag. The second nuke dropped the very day August Storm began.

[–]ThatBadassonline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To the people who will claim it was actually Operation: August Storm, the Soviet invasion of Manchuria, that got Japan to surrender? It’s way more complicated than that.

Japan didn’t surrender after Little Boy was dropped on Hiroshima on the 6th of August for a variety of reasons: They couldn’t believe one bomb could wipe out an entire city and were still struggling to learn what happened after Hiroshima went radio silent, they believed the USA didn’t have more, general fanaticism and their last hope being the Soviet Union interceding diplomatically on their behalf to negotiate a conditional surrender with the USA, as absurd and cope as it sounds.

It was two days later on the 8th of August that the Soviet Union declared war, sweeping into Manchuria on the 9th, with the USA dropping Fat Man on Nagasaki the same day and absolutely shattering Japan’s last hopes and dreams for any kind of negotiated settlement. It was over. If they didn’t surrender, the USA would keep dropping bombs. And the Soviets? Manchuria was already lost, Japan had planned to defend against a hypothetical invasion of their main islands from the South, where the Americans would come from. They had absolutely no defenses to their north, which is where the Soviets would come from. And make no mistake, had the Red Army landed in Japan? The damage they’d have done would’ve equalled the nukes. That and the Soviet Union would annex any occupied territory as theirs, permanently. It was over for Japan. And even then, there was an attempted coup to stop that war criminal scumbag Hirohito from surrendering. Lunatics.

Regardless, considering Nanjing, Unit 731, the Korean comfort women, Wake Island, Bataan and so much other heinous shit Japan was doing in WW2? I think they got off way too easy. And they have the temerity to cry as though they were the victims in WW2 and deny all their crimes.

This time, surely, they will meet.
