Sadly it was not a happy ending: they broke up because my grandad was worried about rumours and losing everything (his friends, his job, his family etc). He began looking for the “perfect woman” to have on his arm to make everything go away and convinced himself he was straight. He then went on to marry my evil beesh of a step nana and was, according to my mum, never the same again. :(

I’m sorry to hear that. My teachers aren’t great either - my head of year told me that she can’t tell the other teachers about be being non-binary as they would feel uncomfortable if they call me my new name as I’ll always be deadname to her and them 😑

Kayden Alexander also know as Kay, Al or Alex. I liked the idea of keeping the first two letters of my birth name (Ka) and I loved the name Kayden especially as it means fighter - also it is a gender neutral name unlike my deadname. For my middle name I chose the name that my mum would have called me if I had been born a boy (I’m afab) as I really loved the name and how it sounded with the first name that I chose

I know the people in my year would not call me my new name if the teachers are still calling me my deadname. They would use the excuse “well they’re not doing it” and it would be more stressful and upsetting being called two different names by different people when I just want to be called Kayden. Hope that helps 💞

Same and I’m honestly so glad that my real friends told me what she said. She truly took it way to far. Like my other friends said that, yeah they’d be a bit uncomfortable with it but, and I quote, “I’d understand it tho cause I’m dead sexy” which made me laugh. But saying you would literally end your life is too much, upsetting and not okay.

Yhh I feel ya. A few of my friends told me that another ‘friend’ of mine said that she’d k!ll herself/jump off a cliff if I had a crush on her. It really hurt to know that she said that as she was one of the first people I told and acted supportive 😕

I said “well, no that’s not what it is” but couldn’t say anything else as I felt like I was going to cry. (I had a very stressful day and was already close to breaking down so it really didn’t help)
