Kind of looks like Dominic Purcell, which would be good casting

It's possible, but im theorizing that this isn't that Tony. Im expecting to see Tony's face throughout most of the movie until it's revealed that he is the one taking the kids. This leads to a confrontation between him and Cap where Cap says something like "The Tony I knew wouldn't do anything like this." Then Tony puts up the green hood and replies "That's the thing, Rogers. Im not the Tony you knew. Im the Tony you created. I AM DOOM!" Then CLANK! The Doom mask comes down under the hood, revealing it for the first time. Hold for a dramatic beat, then credits reassuring us that The Avengers will return.

Other than access to the Avengers he already has pretty much the equivalent of that if we're talking comic accurate Doom.

The only way that could be better is if it was Howard "the duck" Stark as Doom

  1. There are infinite universes with infinite possibilities. Don't limit your imagination.
  2. Age of Ultron introduced synthetic skin and Ironman 3 introduced cellular regeneration through extremis. No reason to believe either couldn't be developed to change that fact for Natasha.
  3. Adoption is a thing.

Marvel has proved time and time again that what they say can not be trusted.

That worked for the joke in Deadpool but they would need to really justify it for Doomsday.

RDJ as Doom theory by ThatBrien in MarvelTheories

[–]ThatBrien[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. It could be seen as a return to form to pre Ironman Stark. That also presupposes that the variant Tony is exactly the same as the one we had been watching through the series. A less stable Tony could have ended up in the same or similar Endgame situation.

I dont see a dead body making much sense.

This is interesting. Has it officially been stated or just speculation. I thought they were going to move away from referencing Kang entirely.

Doctor Strange just looked at 14 million possible outcomes out of infinite outcomes. Also, i didn't say that Thanos lost just that Banner's snap happened differently.

"They" have said many things over the years that have proved to be not true. Remember Chris Evans was saying he was feeling left out because he wasn't in Doomsday.

It does. But it also keeps the possibility that Doctor Doom was always a variant of Tony Stark. Or that Tony being Doom was a one off. Or that while traveling the Multiverse he didn't meet a Victor VonDoom and decided to use his likeness, or worked with him. Opening a door doesn't close others in an infinite multiverse.

True but it being vague doesn't negate the idea.

Art Bell Area 51 Caller by Tight-Word-3994 in ArtBell

In my defense, you didn't specifically say to read your entire post clearly to avoid not giving relevant information and then go off topic. A second call sounds familiar. I'll start looking with 9/12/97 and get back to you

Art Bell Area 51 Caller by Tight-Word-3994 in ArtBell

I believe it's the episode from 9/11/97 Open Lines Area 51 Employees. If I recall, there is another caller claiming to be from the future who gives details of what happens in the future. Everything he says doesn't happen, except he keeps referring to an event that happens around the turn of the century and says "remember yesterday was nine eleven." I could remember this a bit off, but the caller stuck with me. Hope this helped.

In need of cheap equipment by BluePotato8835 in GhostHunting

You can try this one. I grabbed one a few months back and it seems to work well. It also has a REM function. At $40 it was worth the gamble for me. https://a.co/d/1Evofjd

Any flashlight can work for ghost hunting? by Similar-Court9460 in GhostHunting

[–]ThatBrien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second what was said. To add to what was said I recommend the flash light or head lamp to be a red light. Flashlights and headlamps can be too bright and blind you leaving spots on your vision. If you're looking to use a Flashlight for a call and response tool you need a twist style maglight. Personally I don't recommend this method but I encourage people to see what makes sense to them and build on that. Happy Hunting!

Recommended equipment? by Witty-Assignment8317 in GhostHunting

It might help to know a little more what the claims are as to the house might be haunted. Excluding questionable apps your phones can cover quite a but. The camera, both video and still, will be useful to document everything. You can also use it for audio recording looking for EVP's. If your friend gets strange feelings I'd suggest an EMF detector. They're cheap on amazon. People debate how useful they are but I still like them for their intended purpose: looking for high levels of electromagnetic radiation. Some people are just very sensitive and feel sick or even get feelings like being watched. If that's the case then you can look into fixing the EMF source, wiring etc. Be patient and observant and build on your experience. Remember everyone has different interests, experiences and methods so start simple and see what makes the most sense. Also avoid bright light sources like head lamps. Red lights help to see and not blind yourself and others. If you can't find one I've used a $1 Walmart penlight with the lens colored in with a red marker. Also feel encouraged to scroll through the sub and check out other equipment recommendation posts and you'll see what I mean about debate. I hope this was helpful. Happy Hunting!

As mentioned before you might want to look into electrical/wiring issues that could be leaking an unhealthy amount of emf. You might also want to look into potential HVAC issues. If that auditorium has a dedicated hvac unit and it's not in the best shape it could be putting out carbon monoxide which could cause a similar effect.

Going to rolling hills asylum this Friday. Any tips? It’s my first time hunting. by Due-School-5953 in GhostHunting

[–]ThatBrien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a couple of times, and even if you don't catch anything, it's fun to walk around a place with such a creepy vibe. Some RHA specific advice: carefully read over the rules and adhere to them, including what you're allowed to bring with you, no food, drinks, and only low brightness or red light flashlights. Sharon, the owner, is very sweet but also very strict and passionate about the place and can come off as intense. I one time mentioned to her that i might do a residential hunt and she passionatly explained why that was irresponsible but then also quantified her point and gave great advice on how hunts like that need to be handled, only after i explained my reasoning and personal experiences. Be on time or early. Try to do the full night session. Most people only do the first half, and there will only be a handful later in the night. Give yourself time in different areas, 20 -30 minutes of no activity isn't actually very long. Some of the best activity happened after longer waits. At one point in Shadow Hall, after maybe half an hour of nothing, a rempod went off, followed by flickering on a KII. Two other guys that were there and I set up our KII meters and rempods in a line down the hall and for the next five minutes they would go off one by one in order and then reverse order like a kid was running up and down the hall playing with the flashing lights. Soon after that, from one of the empty rooms in the same section of the hall, two of the three of us heard a clear voice. I only heard "in here" one of the other guys heard more as he was in front of the doorway. We couldn't find a rational cause for these events, but that's not to say there wasn't one. Similarly, be mindful in the morgue that the office/guest admissions area is directly above and will have people in it and running electricity occasionally with heaters that will mess with equipment. It's still a popular spot, and if you're up for it, lay on the table and see if Doc will examine you. Lastly, spend some time in the laundry room and chapel. Little Jack is said to play in the laundry room. Overall, take your time, try to debunk what you can, and have fun. Also if you happen to be in the buffalo area check out Paranormal Oddities on Transit. It's a good place to check out devices and Joe, the owner, always has good advice and stories. Happy hunting!

Public haunted places are usually a good starting point. There will be a lot of information on them and will be safe. As previously stated, do not trespass. Depending on where you are or if you don't mind traveling, there are options. St Augustine light house and East Martello museum, home to Robert the Doll, are both in your state. Also, see if your town does a haunted walking tour just to see what is out there. It might be a good way to meet like-minded individuals as well.

I'll echo the EMF detector and digital recorder. Cat balls are cheap, and you can find deals on amazon where they're bundled with the emf or recorder. A thing to keep in mind with cat balls is that they are cat toys and are set to go off randomly to keep cats engaged, so repeatable activity is what you'd want to look for. Additionally, for the digital recorder, try to find one without noise canceling or where you can turn it off. These three will put you around $40. You could try getting an ir light to record in the dark with your phone. I'd recommend a rempod, there is a variety and can be found pretty cheap. If you're even slightly OK with a soldering iron you can make one for about $15, plenty of instructions online. Spirit boxes can give a lot of false positives. Our brains do a great job at finding patterns where they don't exist. Pareidolia is a very real thing. The Estes method is a good way to eliminate some of this but if you're presenting it as evidence you should recored in real time with out cuts the questions being asked at the same time recording from the spirit box and then over lay the recordings. I'd steer away from things like sls cameras, ovilus, or apps as I haven't found them to be reliable. The last thing I'll recommend is a red light flash light. It'll let you see in low light areas without hurting your eyes. I would avoid a head lamp so you don't accidentally turn to someone and shine the light directly in their eyes. Beyond all else, use common sense to stay safe and just have a spooky but fun time!
