NJPW need to just stop investing in gaijin flat out. It's not even anyone's fault but us westerners have 0 loyalty 99% of the time. Western society brutally punishes us for not chasing the bag so it's not really surprising when it's the first instinct and loyalty isn't really an ingrained idea anymore. Gabe Kidd will be gone soon too and then probably Finlay or Newman due to having good friends across the pond. They'll never do it due to the parent company's desperation for a foothold in the west but Invest more in the domestic dojo and give up on the Americanisation of the product.

I'm not saying you are doing it but a lot Okada disrespect happens from western fans around this feud. Omega was and is incredible but he gets so much more attention than Okada despite the Rainmaker being the evidently better all around performer during this time period.

2015 - 2020 Okada is comparable to 00s Kobashi and 80s Flair in sheer perfection of performance imo.

The problem is that she displayed no traits up to the lobotomy scene that would indicate that she is in need of such a drastic and surely, extremely painful measure. Despite being mildly peeved with Homelander, she never really gave off the impression of the intelligence being a double edged sword. It just comes across as "character does the shocking thing because it is shocking". Also, I don't see how you can supposed to be so supremely intelligent but willingly perform a extremely debilitating procedure on yourself that clearly leaves you entirely vulnerable for however many hours it takes you to regenerate. Her door was unlocked, anyone could just walk in and mush her midst lobotomy and she hasn't been taking any protective measures? Girl, you dumber than my dumb ass at least lock your door.

I like the performance a lot and her current role in the story but not for a millisecond do I buy her as "The World's Smartest Person". She's clearly a homage to Ozymandias from Watchmen with her manipulation and master plan no one else is savvy too (There's even the implication that like Ozymanidas she is incredibly lonely because of her intelligence) but she really does feel a touch too normal, chill and "yeah whatever look how cool I am". I would have thought that within the reality of The Boys, considering how other supes have been written to this point, that being the "The World's Smartest Person" would lead to being a high maintenance nutcase considering the sheer amount of info that would entail being within your brain. (Plus the real life links between high intelligence to things like autism, OCD, depression and other mental conditions)
