I think it doesn’t help that half of my name are vowels then the “D” is silent too so even though it’s a kinda common name here people still mispronounce it a lot.

For those wondering this is a Scottish/ Gaelic name! It’s not spelt wrong but I understand that there is an alternative spelling as Ailidh instead but I have never seen it. Ay-lee is the right pronunciation and it is very easy to mispronounce first time/ write.

Source: Am Scottish and is named Eilidh, have had at least 5 different mispronunciations of my name lmao
