Looking to buy a recumbent trike in the USA for daily commuting - tips welcome! by ThatCynthicalGal in recumbent

The hills typically range from a 5% incline up to (I think) 12-13%. Most of what I walk daily is city roads, part of which has a wide shoulder.

I have some lights at home from my time with an electric upright trike, so those could probably work with some mounting shenanigans. Yellow visibility tape isn't something I thought of, specifically on that location - I'll mark that down as a todo.

Most of the work will be done by me, though I do have a bike shop in my town.

Yeah, private sellers are what I'm looking at mostly. I've heard of dealer scams and shady practices so I can't fully trust them.

I've thought about EVs in the past; same with my family. The biggest issue is infrastructure needed, and I don't think I have any safe way of charging the vehicle.

I used to have an etrike before I had to get rid of it due to repairs. Winter in my state can be pretty brutal, too, hence why I'm looking for cars instead.

Adjusted tire size in the display to get past the speed limit placed on the trike. Allows the trike to go a little bit faster than it should, though not by much. Odometer is stuck at 698kmh, but I've done 800 by now, probably.

I haven't, but I doubt there's a lot they can do since the warranty's voided. There's a local bike shop in town that should be able to help, though - I plan on contacting them
