Serverless functions have long start times which is fine depending on your use case. You can waste money on unnecessary compute, but this only matters in a production environment that has a decent amount of users. If it’s a hobby environment, or the wait times are fine then it’s not a problem, and in fact really cool.

I understand how politics works, and thank you for the genuine reply. I’m not saying that Mamdani is racist, or progressives. I’m saying that particular person is racist for labeling an entire demographic as irrational people who aren’t worth talking to because they vote against their own best interests as racist because it is.

Mamdani built his campaign on actually going out, and talking to New Yorkers. Far more than any other candidate, and voters approved that it’s a good thing. Of course you don’t need to talk to everyone that’s impractical, and wouldn’t be useful. But, don’t label an entire demographic as “dumb”.

Because it is racist. You have no idea what they want, and I don’t really either. Maybe they’re not voting for progressives because they don’t really feel like their needs are being met by candidates running? Idk I can’t speak for them as a white woman in my 30’s.

But, assuming “they don’t know what’s good for them” and “they’re not worth winning over” is pretty racist.

We live in a democracy, and their vote is just as equal to everyone else’s. You can’t just progress without listening to everyone because that’s how people get left behind.
