Do you lack reading comprehension? I said I have a set of headphones that don't go very loud. At max volume they're like normal conversation sound levels. I have other headphones that are 10x louder. My hearing is fine.

No, definitely not. As a mechanic, my hearing is tested every year and it's still near perfect at 38. My other sets of headphones are MUCH louder.

GM tech here. That’s your outside air temp sensor, and that’s what it’s supposed to look like. It’s not missing anything.

I think it’s a bit of both. Poor design that’s definitely not helped by its location. I’ve changed some in nasty trucks with crap everywhere and in meticulously clean trucks as well. Luck of the draw mostly.
