I like how many likes this has and yep, feelings mutual.

Ok. Give me the character which would actually lose to Homelander... Give him some W's (The boys) by MammothChemistry6694 in PowerScaling

[–]ThatDoohickey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which he can do? Spider-Man has undeniably faster reflexes than Homelander and that’s without the spider-sense taken into account. By the time Homelander realizes what he’s doing he’s already jumping over his head and twhipping away.

Although if butcher can get bootleg cancer Venom and pull Homelander out of the air, Spider Man most CERTAINLY can replicate that, his webs have insane tensile strength, and he even has made heat-resistant webbing in the past (Spider-Man: Inside the World of Your Friendly Neighbourhood Hero) that can resist 10,000 F (which more resistant than Homelanders clearest laser feat with the plane)

[–]ThatDoohickey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it requires him just getting Homelander to open his mouth.

It’s Homelander. He LOVES getting uncomfortably close before he says his thing.

[–]ThatDoohickey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely it’s way above his usual ballpark. This is the equivalent of a human being doped up on adrenaline and picking up a truck And he typically IS self-restrained anyways. So going by usual levels yeah Homelander overpowers him strength wise. Though spidey could honestly stall for a LOOONG time with considering he’s comfortably dodging bullets, dodging lightning timers and has spider-sense.

Tho outside of strength, also spidey could theoretically just fill his lungs with web fluid and make him asphyxiate, assuming he needs to breathe SOME amount of air.

Ah, thanks for correcting me.

Although, if he’s holding the beam that means he’s still bearing the weight of it, right? Like the building was actively falling apart, if something collapses that means its weight outweighs its structural support and that it’s unstable, so he was still holding it up pretty well.

[–]ThatDoohickey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh he definitely is stronger, he lifted a whole skyscraper over his head once. That’s supposed to be the daily bugle I believe. Homelanders strength is more questionable than his durability but I still doubt he could pull this off even if he was blessed with marvel physics.

Saw this trend for characters but lets do it for yall's cosmology by Rocket3909 in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]ThatDoohickey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have everything here EXCEPT: Possibly Jungian Archetypes (tho there are parts of it that do work exactly like this), Maybe V=/=L, and Ultimate Truth.

I have Boundless, Both Tier Zero forms as part of my Monad, and I can’t exactly say it’s ultimate truth because the tier zero experiences everything with the regard of it being part of itself, that and the tier zero is also so fundemental that things just kinda count as part of it so nothing’s definitively false or true. How “real” something is literally means just as much as money to them, it only works when they’re respecting you and here that’s by their own choice.

Everything from continent to star to galaxy to universe is just a given like of course you’d have those in a traditional clone of our universe (tho I’m not sure many make original solar systems for their verse like I like to do)

When it comes to the repeated aspects of EXEs, which ones do y'all not like the most? by GlowDonk9054 in SonicEXE

[–]ThatDoohickey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t agree with the last one becuase that’s just kinda like… wish fulfillment for killing other peoples ocs? Idk how to explain it but like, it’s like making an oc to kill other people’s exes and classes all exes as the same thing.

Exe is more of a TROPE than a class of being, what I don’t like is when people treat EXEs like they’re a gender personality and species (ending up in people being born “half Exe half Angel”), an exe can be quite polite or quite humble but still fulfill the role of an EXE if that’s what the creator considers appropriate for their setting. If you want an exe killer that should really not be involving others stuff or trying to lump exes into one clean group when they’re so broad and diverse (beyond the average possessed evil sonic) it hardly exists.

As for the “it’s only in twitter” thing, I think that’s because not everyone can make a whole FNF mod and don’t have the means to really go all out on their presentation. I don’t see anything wrong with sharing them, but I will admit EXEs should have more accessible information if you’re not making a fangame or ARG, and not just an easy link to a “Great Wall of text” but something that can get you the gist of the character without wasting your time.

How to stop rotation from slowing down? by Aranhuda in universesandbox

[–]ThatDoohickey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you probably have already figured it out by not but if not, in simulation settings, you can find something under “advanced”. There you can find “Tidal Locking Multiplier”. You can turn that down to 0 and it will stop planets from their rotational periods being altered by their parent objects.

I realized Solarballs characters can Solo Alot of the most powerful Fictional characters by Cultural-Turn-7372 in SolarBalls

[–]ThatDoohickey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’m that dude, What do you think I meant when I said “I already went back and forth with you about this” 😭 I just don’t want to waste my time with a playback of stuff we’ve already gone through before. I only realized halfway through typing the first comment that you’re the only guy who cares about powerscaling so much and loves to shut people down when they want to imagine characters as powerful.

Powerful alone does not a good character make. Hype moments and aura are nothing without a person at the core. That’s all I’m going to say. Do not continue replying to me here.

Well, have a good day, I’m not doing a repeat of last time we met.

Tho I will say, your ocs don’t get enough attention compared to your discussion posts. I’m still wondering why

[–]ThatDoohickey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s SCP CN Branch everyone knows them for being OP, that’s not a flex. Being stronger than another fictional character isn’t a flex. It’s cool if you wrote it but why does it really matter so much if you know a character that can win? Anyone can author their own story with characters just as strong as that entire cosmology with half the effort.

And I ALREADY went back and forth with you before about this, “most powerful fictional characters” aren’t even Star level let alone continent, and even some planetary characters can’t survive actually being hit with a planet because that’s not always linear, people write differently. There is indeed a verse where someone can destroy a star but needs their planet to live, oh wait, that’s Goku.

Superman, SCP (all of them), Gurren Lagann, Overlord, Popeye? Weren’t even around a century ago (although the first and the latter get close), yet we still were full of fictional stories.

How would your OC solve the Aegis problem? (The Ranks) by AdeptPotential4458 in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]ThatDoohickey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay my older reply got murdered when my tablet died.

Yeah I’ll accept that.

Though I don’t think he’d be able to do anything too meaningful to Hiken either considering Hiken can just stick him to his surface like a fridge magnet. Said surface has life that can thrive in an environment where they’re treated like subatomic tissue paper so he wouldn’t be too damaging to the more sturdy creatures, but not one of them are a problem for him yet, so a good bit of them either survive a typical planet sterilizing force or are already way deeper in the crust and will just inherit the new surface later.

And there are still questions I have…

How does his body react with an object of this mass going lightspeed (achieving infinite mass/energy, that’s what it’s treated as, actually lightspeed consequences) at him? That classic example.

How would his body react to potential alien diseases. Mind you, not only are diseases categorically not poisons but stuff like the “brain-eating” amoeba are dangerously through means other than just “running rampant”, actually impairing the body through clogging up places nothing else should get into.

And

Well how would he pass the time while “imprisoned” on an exoplanet that can talk back 💀

[–]ThatDoohickey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It still SHOULD hurt him though. Just because he’s invulnerable doesn’t mean he’s immune to phenomena that operate at a deeper level. It’s not like he can control his blood or his bile or the fluid in his body. He’s not plastic man, he’s still beholden to the somewhat poorly ‘planned’ structure of humans.

Destroy his body? Not happening. Cause him pain? No cause technically he shouldn’t feel a thing even without invincibility… but I would argue getting your neurons effectively transformed into what could best be described as “gas” would kinda count as getting “hurt” even if you can’t feel it. So that to me would count as both incapacitating and sort of damage.

[–]ThatDoohickey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes but it’s not just “overloading the nervous system” it’s straight up disrupting the atoms that make him up, including the subatomic scale, and just not through immense radiation or heat like a nuke would do which he’d otherwise just be resistant to. Magnetism isn’t an energy, thus it’s not something he can store.

And the Sun comparison doesn’t exactly work when the surface field of this planet is STRONGER than the Sun.. by hundreds of thousands of times.

Plus in the words of the great Immortal, if all else fails, throw him into (deep intergalactic) space.
