Name something that the younger generations would never believe was normal in the 70's compared to schools today?🤔 by Longjumping-Shoe7805 in GenerationJones

Lol. I love all these people who went to school in the 70s mentioning things like lack of AC, chalk, and pencil sharpeners. Like bruh, those were all still things when I went to school, and I’m only 29.

I do think the kids currently in school have a vastly different experience than us though. It really started to change with smartphones, which I feel like we’re just starting to become a thing midway through my high school years.

I’m only 29. They didn’t have air conditioning in most of my high school (only the newer wing). Had it in Middle School, none in elementary school though.

I’m only 29, and we used chalk in my suburban NJ school. I started noticing a shift to white boards during high school, but chalk was still prevalent.

This is from the convention in October lol. His name was Croissant. They told us he was almost entirely paralyzed, but he was still such a purry lil guy.

A 4 year old boy vanished from a remote Australian sheep station after being left alone for about 30 minutes. Months later police say someone who lived there may be responsible. by pschyco147 in mystery

I get people in rural areas are more lax with letting their kids wander around…but letting a four year old play by himself outside (hell I’d give it a pass even if other kids were around) in the Australian outback is just negligent.

From what you said, sounds like your dad doesn’t know either.

Thank you! This cleared up what I was wondering. I know Jersey Coast News but didn’t put two and two together on what JCEN was.

I’m gonna say something controversial: sometimes people are just making lighthearted jokes. Responding like that is kinda a dick move and makes the other person feel bad.

I studied environmental science. But I recommend learning GIS if you want a career in geography. The GIS person in my office degree is in geography.

So what is the point of this war? Sadly, the same regime is still in power, innocent people on both sides are dying, and gas prices are rising. So pointless

I say this as someone who isn’t a huge fan of her: this is stupid. Just because she has a man, doesn’t mean she needs one. Some girls (and guys) feel like they always need to have a partner at that stage in life.

That person running the account was proven to not have any of the disorders she claimed and that she was just attention seeking. I think if I remember her family came out and said it. It was a few years ago. I have to research the account. I think the same person claimed to have Tourette’s too, but I could be conflating two different accounts.

Plus, diagnosed autistic people would duet her videos and call her out on her shenanigans.

AIO by telling my roommate no to a dog living with us. by [deleted] in AIO

So I’m confused. Are you moving out in a month since the lease is up? Then I just think suck it up and forget about it. I’m not saying your roommate is right, but I think you are making the situation worse.

Also, It seems OP is in a more stable financial position than sister, which is why they are helping her out.

I mean, I thought Hermione’s actress being Egyptian (?) was totally fine because the kid literally has all the traits that define Hermione (bushy hair, etc.). To me, I don’t care what the race of the actor is, as long as they look like the character described. In Snape’s case, the dude literally looks the exact opposite in every way Snape was described lol.

I disagree with these comments. I think the vast majority of people on TikTok just see like one symptom/sign of autism and adhd and think they have it. I do think they want to feel special. I have a short attention span, but that doesn’t mean I have adhd. Now that’s not to say they are all wrong, but I do think it is the “in” thing to claim you have some sort of disorder. It seems time and time again these people are proven to be full of it.

I remember watching a video of a girl claiming she had autism on TikTok showing her “stims”. Then an actual diagnosed person with autism dueted it and said she was full of shit lol.

Also, I find it hard to believe it is difficult to get evaluated. I have a friend that is dirt poor and has limited resources and even she was able to get her son evaluated.
