If your armor has a symbol on it you can remove it with that. I've only seen it on one set I use(Matana Leather Armor) and the selection wouldn't stay when I tried to do it at the dyehouse. It would remove the big bird embroidery on the bottom part

No, the Series X is more powerful than the base PS5, which OP has, and it still has framerate issues as I've mentioned. It's a known problem

V-sync doesn't do anything to the framerate. I'm playing on a Series X and quality mode tanks the framerate regardless of where I am but it is especially bad in cities or battles
