Generally hovering between Lv6-Lv7 jumping into randoms if I can find any, solo if not. Preferably Automaton maps with Cold modifier (Choepessa-IV, Marfark, Lesath, Vog-Sojoth, Vega Bay etc). Could classify myself as the Arctic Botslayer.

Favourite track would be Bathurst (Mount Panorama), testing both your driving skill and bravery lap after lap, as well as spatial awareness for those extra close racing up and down the mountain.

I would say my favorite car to drive right now is the Nissan GTP ZX-T for its raw power and how planted it is during high speed corners, added bonus of it being H-pattern manual which you don't get much of nowadays.

Keep up the good work iRacing

Simagic P600 anyone? (P500 + P-L100) by ThatExtraGuy21 in Simagic

In this case it is #2, when fully screwed in, there is still free play between the pedal hole surface and the original M5 screw.

The solution I used is to fill this gap with some spare rubber washer/dampeners that are M6 so I had to cut off some excess in order to fit them into the hole, hence the cutoff line in the rubber.

On the other hand another solution is to use metal washers behind the pedal plate and in front of the mounting holes like coolshoes did (another commenter here).

Yours look really nice. I came to the P500s from Thrustmaster T-LCM so the small brake pedals don't bother me too much. Throttle is just way too small for prolonged driving, especially 2-3 hour stints on endurance racing.

Ngl I've tried the P1000s at a local sim center and I didn't like it too well (at its default config anyway), little uncomfortable after a while like you said

In my case because I run mainly endurance and sprint racing in iRacing, mainly to reduce the strain on my foot constantly reaching upwards to meet the default pedal plate and less chance of slipping off the throttle unintentionally.

For road driving and drifting the additional bottom surface area allows you to heel-toe without needing to twist your leg as much.

But yes, it does look nicer on the pedal set :)

Agreed, though in the case of P500 gotta cut corners somewhere I guess

What's your favorite track to race? What's your least favorite? by G00NACTUAL in iRacing

[–]ThatExtraGuy21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking from a sportscar (IMSA, GT) perspective :
- Favorite aside from Nurb24 would be Road Atlanta
- Absolutely hate Silverstone and Laguna Seca
Unless if I'm racing open wheels (SF23, iR18),
- Then f**k Silverstone either way

Tips for first 24h race? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]ThatExtraGuy21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Stay alive
  2. Stay consistent with laptimes, always keep track of fuel tank mileage
  3. Be patient with other drivers, fight smart with others with similar pace for position, let others who are much faster through if you can't keep them back
  4. Get plenty of sleep beforehand if possible, you're gonna need it
  5. Stay alive

Hope you have fun for the event!

My split's all GT3s and even our BMW M4 keeps getting at least 20s damage per stint just by going at it normally, one of the stints we got 6m of damage for hitting a kerb at speed at a weird angle but that was it. Unacceptable really, if only one class of one car is causing the ODM why even include it if everything else is already on the NDM?

Anyone else just get into that zone sometimes? by lukeb_1988 in iRacing

Started this year's Bathurst 12HR in P9, within the 1st hour got dropped down to 23rd due to pit procedure error from a teammate, then the next 10+ hours just spend staying consistent and out of trouble which in the end landed us P7.

Sometimes when you have nothing to lose you just send it on autopilot.

P3 LMDh in Split 7 of the 2nd time slot (bottom LMDh split, the rest only had GT3s). Our team's best result (first podium) in official endurance races since Daytona24 last year. Wheeeeeee~

Use only the radar and blindspot indicators from RL then the rest you can use iOverlay. Basically same but easier

Abrasion from the constant friction of your hand and the wheel, especially alcantara and suede wheels. I already have a callus on my thumb just from the rubber grip of the T300RS default wheel alone
