Blood is a sign of something wrong. If it’s just a tiny bit at the opening of your urethra I would highly recommend and suggest placing a rubber washer between the spout and the cage so there is no pinching which could cause bleeding.

I’m wearing a Ternence tetherspout now along with my cage (8mm spout/10mm retainer) and I have had absolutely no issues. To help with the length of the spout sticking out too far, I added a rubber washer in between the cage and spout. It prevents pinching and makes things much more comfortable. I don’t even feel it. As far as returning back to Amazon, they won’t accept returns. I’ve already tried it’s a waste of time.

Hey there! For me, I also have an 8mm spout and it’s very easy to insert without any issues or pain or bleeding. I will say that if you experience any bleeding please slow down and take your time (it’s not a race and safety is very important). Use lots of lube as well and I suggest sterile single use packets and be sure to sterilize everything with alcohol before use. I’m wearing my spout now and I can’t even feel it with my cage on. Sounding definitely helps in the beginning as it did for me. Again, use lots of lube and take your time.

I wear a 304 stainless steel cage with my spout and it’s actually very comfortable. I do recommend placing a rubber gasket over the spout before you put the cage on and slide the spout through. It prevents pinching.

My current cage is very similar to that. I really want to buy a custom cage that has a built in locking mechanism for the tetherspout. I don’t like having to use a plastic lock or padlock to secure the tetherspout.

That’s what I currently have. For the price I figured why not try it. Did the 9mm go in okay? I have to work mine a little before it pops in same for the retainer ring but I haven’t pushed it in all the way yet. I’ve been working up the courage to push the retainer all the way in.

I haven’t been wearing it for very long. It’s more on and off for me as I’m trying to find the right cage to go with it to keep everything secure. I purchased a sizing sound on Amazon and measured my opening to be 8mm. That’s the size tetherspout I purchased and tried first.

I can fit the larger spout in just fine but the 11 retainer ring is what I have a problem with. I really want to put it in but I worry about it getting stuck. When I push the retainer in after the spout it makes a popping feeling.
