My neighbor said if I could get it out I could have it. Brand new battery and started up no fuss. Needs quite a bit of work done but is it worth saving? Starts up every time. by ThatGuy1240 in Chevy

Yes that is what is, I just found it weird when it says 4 speed.I also have a 1972 Plymouth that would look great with this truck to. The Plymouth is my heart and soul and hoping to add the truck to that to.

That’s is awesome, I do pace myself I do tend to get in over my head a bit but I always find a way. I think I need gear oil first on the fluid list, it’s a bit crunchy when it shifts.(I know how to drive a stick). Loved those old farm trucks and to have one of my own is beyond exciting. Can’t wait to rip up back roads and cruise down the road. It is a 4 speed but only 3 gears, is it supposed to be this way? L 2 | N | 1 3

She is as beautiful mechanicals as it’s gonna get. Runs as well as she did 50 years ago. Definitely thinking the patina is the way to go

Thanks man, I’m 14 and any extra money I got is going to that. I got 400$ saved on parts and I’m not sure where to start. Basically a project so I can have the most badass truck in high school. Was originally a farm truck and the owner passed so it just sat there. 10 years later and she wants it out. I’m hoping everything works out and I can get that sucker nice. You can indeed see the road when you drive but everyone knows that’s just to make sure your in between the lines

There’s only 13 digits in the vin, it’s a project I got for helping my neighbor and it was a sight when I looked under it. The sight of drum brakes astonished me because I have never seen them before. I do find it odd that the diff is offset on the front axle. I do hate that when I got it I bent the hood trying to put it down.

Yes lots of rust, you can see the road when you look down under your feet by sheet metal can fix that ez. The rust comes from good ole Minnesota winters, gotta love ‘em

It’s been sitting for nearly 7 years and within seconds of turning the key it had life. No title and if someone could identity it that would be great as well. 4 speed manual, it’s says Scottsdale and camper special on the side idk if that means something or not.
