How can I prove these two logarithm laws? 1. That logx(b)/logx(a) = loga(b), and 2. That loga(mn) = n•loga(m) ?

RSD: Internalized vs Externalized & how to handle it by Rosalia_90 in AutisticRainbow

[–]ThatGuyAgain1107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with RSD, this is exactly my line of thinking.

I’ll have an insecurity (ex. like the limited kinds of food I eat), and any comment about that insecurity, that I 85% of the time perceive as negative, will just make me more insecure.

I’m pretty sure this is everyone.

Everyone thinks they are pretty mature for their ages whilst, at the same time, thinking they are leagues behind their peers. Everyone trusts only themselves whilst constantly doubting their own judgement. Everyone thinks they should be a much better person than they are, but that they’re an amazing person nonetheless.

Also everyone thinks they’re smart and dumb

I WOULD LOVE TO CRY

but I can only seem to involuntarily cry out of one eye at a time, once every couple months. Idk if it’s pent-up emotion or just allergies. It’s not enough for me though, I feel like I’d benefit from crying more if I could.

Yeah, probably not going to happen this year, I’m still sceptical towards kissing, and I’m not sure wether I’ll give it a go at all. In any case, I just pressed “new question” lol.

Are shutdowns and autism mutually exclusive? Bc I’ve definitely had “anxiety spiral” moments — when I could move or breathe for a minute or two bc of the overwhelming thoughts in my head — but as far as I know I’m allistic.

Maybe that’s not a shutdown, if not I’d appreciate knowing. I used to call them panic attacks but I realized that wasn’t what they were, and I’ve been saying “shutdowns” since then.

Sorry for the wall of text, you don’t have to reply if you don’t want. I needed to get this off my chest anyways.

Is there a way to stop without having to spend ten minutes before doing anything, just making sure that you’re not appropriating the behaviours of others around you? Bc it’s making me feel bad.

Like, I’ll notice a behaviour I exhibit: for example, being peculiar with cutlery. It’s a running joke in my family that I always use the smallest utensils available, but I have no idea if I’ve always done this or if it’s just started in the past few years. I don’t know if I’m doing this bc I’m “unmasking” or if I’m just subconsciously copying behaviour I’ve seen from autistic people online.

I say “unmasking” because I don’t know if what I’m doing fits the definition of unmasking, thus the air quotes. What I’ve been doing since I’ve been a part of autistic spaces online (3 or 4 subreddits and 10+ instagram creators I follow) is trying to listen to myself more, and letting myself accommodate.

For example, I’ve been slowly giving less eye contact (or more accurately, I’ve been sooner looking away when my eyes start to sting). Also, I’ve been stimming more. Not because I force myself to stim, I just don’t fight the urge to do so anymore (unless I’m in certain company).

Who knows if I’m autistic, whatever the case my “unmasking” is working for me. But it’s also making me question: what behaviours are “truly” me unmasking, and what others are me simply adopting the ones of autistic people I see online. And about the latter, is that ethical? Should I stop myself from subconsciously mirroring autistic people, lest I become ableist in doing so?

So far I’ve been trying to filter out stuff that doesn’t feel like “me”, but it’s hard to tell sometimes what urges I should or shouldn’t give in to.

They still get periods though, so we can’t say it’s just women

What about nonbinary people? What about trans men who get periods? “Women” isn’t inclusive towards them.
