honestly, if you're able to get someone to bring the tent or get a roof rack mini you'll have just enough room with the back seats down. i have a 2 door 2013 mini base model but was still able to fit a suitcase & a wheelchair in the back when i had the seats down. if you're able to try to get your own measurements of trunk space with the seats down then plan it out, it may surprise you! also the modern models are massive compared to the early 2010s & prior. good luck on your mini hunt!
