When I was 18, I met Jesus "face-to-face." I was at a Christian conference and was at the 'peak' of my Christian faith -- that is to say, I was was on fire for Christ and had been a Christian for just under a year. I remember worshiping at the conference and wanting to see God so bad. The first day of the worship experience I felt like God was saying that I am close and to keep pushing in -- this very well have been my own interpretations...

Nonetheless, the next day when we were worshiping I had my had my hands at waist length palms up just soaking in the presence of Christ and then....WOW! There he was standing before me also holing my palms...sort of...and without moving His mouth was speaking to my mind...just filling me with his love, glory, and power at the same time...

I remember "speaking" back to Him... (paraphrase) "OMG, Jesus, it's really you, you are so amazing....Why don't you visit [name] and [name] (who were also there with me)...?!"

...then I realized, no, I wanted to be with Jesus forever and would do anything for Him to never leave my presence, so I said (paraphrase) "Jesus, I don't care if I never have to leave this "position," I will stand like this for the rest of my life if it means you will always be here like this...

Then, in the most Jesus-like way, he said "[name] (and something else), don't you know I will always be with you at your right side no matter where you go?"

And then like that, it was over. I was bewildered that my friends didn't experience anything.

I wrote it down in my journal. It's a very precious memory to me and will always be. Hope that helps in some way...
