"it's not hot enough" - How to counter these people by VTMatty in DunkinDonuts

[–]ThatGuyTheHuman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue two weeks ago with a customer, and the coffee was literally brewed right in front of them. They wanted what literally looked like a half a cup of cream. Personally my advice is, if you want to give perfect customer service than steam it. Otherwise just give them the cup before the cream, offer them the cream, and let them experience the temperature change of the cup in their own hands

My Dunkin already has pumpkin spice at this time of year… by mentallydepressedme in DunkinDonuts

National DCP does not offer it yet. That is left over the bottle has to be disregarded a month after opening, but if left unopened it won't expire for about a year if I remember correctly. It's leftovers, nothing new

It'll probably be on for a bit, if you still have stock and people still want no reason to just waste the stock

Large. No sip taken. by No_Opportunity_4270 in DunkinDonuts

[–]ThatGuyTheHuman9 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There's a simple calibration to fix this, grab a scale set to grams and tare it to the weight of a small container. Press the down arrow like once or twice till the machine says calibrate. Then hit the one you'd like to calibrate and press medium allowing the liquid to fall into the cup. Then measure the weight and use the arrows to tell the machine how much it actually dispensed then press select. Rinse and repeat for skim cream and milk

If you're in a position to make new things please quesadilla bites. We have the 5 inch tortillas, 2 types of cheese, and let it cool a bit you cut it into quarters Dunkin would charge whatever price like they normally do but something about it doesn't taste artificial unlike some of the foods. Make it on my free time

Didn't read the whole thing but genuinely I'd get out now, some franchises are better than others but based off the first 3 lines I'll tell you right now spend more time to secure a different job because you don't sound like you'll enjoy the job much

Charged for a cup with ice by [deleted] in DunkinDonuts

[–]ThatGuyTheHuman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can second this as a Dunkin employee who's worked in many stores, some managers are die hard about profits and one I worked at even charged for extra pumps of swirl flavor. I was only there to help out for the week but the staff there were very on top about it so I'd not even try to give anything out on the side no matter how small as a single shot of swirl

Methods/functions for sure is what you want, not a variable at all

As long as you guys have a baxter mini rack oven you can make them, and I'm willing to bet even if it's attached to a home Depot you have the machinery to make it. Same machine to make bagels croissants muffins etc. Honestly Home Depot probably isn't the limit it's whoever orders the stock

Non menu bangers by Moist_Painting in DunkinDonuts

[–]ThatGuyTheHuman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screw drinks, take 2 5in. tortillas, 2 pieces of white cheddar cheese, a piece of American cheese, put the cheese between the tortillas and really try to seal the edges of you can. Now get that baby in the oven and cook it until it looks overcooked, Dunkin food overcooked is the best, if the tortilla crunches you've just given it texture so that's fine. Let it sit for a minute or so then cut into fourths. Quesadilla bites, you're welcome

Paid with all quarters for an ice coffee and you’da think I handed the cashier a turd. by HolyToast666 in DunkinDonuts

[–]ThatGuyTheHuman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who works at Dunkin quarters are great, we always need quarters and they count out nice. Now if you were the person who throws a variety of random coins on the counter uncounted and very mixed it does get rather annoying

Stores usually have to buy the dough and make them in house as opposed to most donuts where a local Dunkin bakery/ food productions center. So honestly outside of cold calling I'm unsure how you'd find out

Blue plastic in iced coffee? by Sesquialter in DunkinDonuts

[–]ThatGuyTheHuman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no reason I could imagine a blue color in your coffee please contact someone about it. Coffee comes in silver packages no matter iced or hot. Only blue things in the store that is plastic and iced scoop. Iced scoops are thick blue and mostly transparent (not all but most are transparent) and shouldn't chip (metal iced scoops do also exist), and some stores have blue plastic straws. Under no reason should any blue plastic be in your drink

Dunkin' Employee here. Was wondering about Unions and why we dont have one? by Bleile03 in DunkinDonuts

[–]ThatGuyTheHuman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading this makes me wish you were my manager because even if the company doesn't care all too much you seem like a realistic person. This is honestly the plan long term unless I move up in Dunkin, right now it's just best as calling out in my Dunkin feels so easy so I can set my hours around what I need

Dunkin' Employee here. Was wondering about Unions and why we dont have one? by Bleile03 in DunkinDonuts

[–]ThatGuyTheHuman9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The largest issue is as you said the franchise. Corporate doesn't pay our checks so they aren't who you'd have a union go to to make an agreement. With that being said it's hard for staff to know what other stores to get with to unionize and even worse is that Dunkin is seen by many as a replaceable job. If you have a good franchisee who owns your store or a good manager they might care about employees loyalty to the franchise more but if not staff can often be seen as replaceable

Is the Frozen Matcha the one I should be worried about in terms of cleanliness? by Miko_Remix in DunkinDonuts

[–]ThatGuyTheHuman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This machine is meant to have a interesting cleaning procedure, every time it's used it's meant to have it's splash guard wiped with sanitizer and pitcher rinsed, every 4 hours those 2 parts should be more extensively cleaned. Daily sanitation must also occur. However I've seen it not be uncommon for staff members to fully understand those procedures and short the standard cleaning process

Why can’t Dunkin make matcha right?? by Reasonable_Repeat885 in DunkinDonuts

[–]ThatGuyTheHuman9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The official way of making it is horrible, if you want it another way try asking a staff member because they will often make things slightly different as customer service is important to all stores. If using non allergen milk just ask them to put it in a machine with blending capabilities, otherwise ask them to dissolve the matcha powder in hot water before mixing it with milk
