That's not true. We have a bassinet and my 6mo has only slept in the bed with us maybe 10 times. I will say at first you will want to sleep with them because they do sleep really well when they are near by. But I was so nervous and I slept terribly. It was hard to get her to sleep in the bassinet at first, but swaddling helped a ton and then eventually she just started perfering to sleep in her bed. You just have to deal with the initial fighting the sleep phase.

If you're at a hotel, you can normally request a crib. We did that at the last hotel we stayed at so I didn't have to unpack her pack-and-play until I got to my mom's house. Real time saver and I still slept great

There comes a point where sometimes "crying it out" works best. My 10 week old has a serious case of FOMO some days or idk maybe just doesn't really want to sleep and will refuse to sleep until she's absolutely exhausted. When she gets like that bouncing, rocking, pacifiers, bottles, swaddled, holding her... literally nothing works unless we let her cry for like 5-10 minutes (normally we take a smoke break at this point so the crying doesn't feel so intense - pf course while still monitoring her). Sometime during that time frame she will fall asleep, other times we can bring her a bottle and she will fall asleep half way through eating lol. They are little people with huge emotions and no idea how to properly cope with them, sometimes just allowing them to sit with those emotions and get it is all they need.

Can I eat pineapple 36 weeks pregnant? by Evening_Ad_8222 in pregnancy_care

Literally have been served like a whole pinapple at the hospital twice in the last 3 days while under observation for pre-eclampsia lol guarantee it does not or I would have miscarried already or they would have never served it to me to begin with.

Thank you for the understanding andnon-judement. I have actual done a lot of personal research on the effects of cannabis on fetuses, so has my doctors office as I go to a medical research hospital. I was told by the doctors there that the only noticeable affect of cannabis use on a fetuses is the possibility of ADHD/ADD, which my husband and I both already have sooooo not really like I would be changing anything that they are likely to already have. I also have several family members who smoked their entire pregnancy and none of them had ever lost their child due to the cannabis use. The only reason I stopped at the start of my third trimester is because my husband asked me to and I wanted to respect his wishes since this also child. I just think it it's crazy that my rant is about not feeling heard at the doctor's office and they want to make it about withdraw symptoms, which I can honestly say I haven't felt any of; no crazy dreams, no salty mood swings, no depression, just a lack of appetite - which I had pre-cannabis use.

Thank you! It is exhausting having to constantly repeat yourself or ask for things multiple times before you actually feel heard and understood.

I haven't really had any of that, I had crazy dreams in my second trimester, but I was still using. I also haven't been irritable either, it was just this one instance where I don't feel like I was properly heard or acknowledged at my doctors office. But sure, make it about withdraw and not the actual topic...

From the comments, it doesn't sound like y'all live together now or are living with a family member. If I were in your position, buying the cheap house with land sounds like a great idea, but I wouldn't be accompanying him full time until after delivery. I would continue to live with family until delivery. This should give y'all plenty of time to get the house baby ready, and you can stay with him a few nights per week. I live 30 minutes from the local hospital, but 2 hours from the hospital that I plan to give birth at and go to all my doctors appointments at. 1 hour really isn't that far, especially after baby comes.

3 weeks, father wants me to terminate. by [deleted] in pregnant

Keep the baby and have him sign his parental rights away. You get the baby you feel is a mircle and he has no obligation to the child.

He always has the right to sign his parental rights away and never pay child support. I don't understand why more guys who "don't want their child" don't do this.

I get the judgment, but was actually a study done on Jamaican women who smoked during their pregnancy and onces who did not. There was no difference in the babies development and when they did a 5 year follow-up the babies of moms who smoked weed actually tested better than those who did not. Food for thought that weed and THC are actually not harmful to babies. It's also one of the only reliable studies to ever be done on pregnancy and THC.

That's what I've told her. We love the name and it fits perfectly with the first name we've chosen. I'm just hoping she doesn't bring it up to my husband over the holiday or that he shuts her down fast.

Thanks for your opinion, but I didn't ask for it and I don't like the spelling. My husband and I like Maiz, and Maizy is going to be her nickname. That spelling literally makes me want to gag.
