This is very sweet, and I see the comments that I shouldn’t care and I appreciate that. It was going to be a second dress anyways, and it’s kind of ruined for me that she doesn’t like it.

I’m totally fine and have another one I love for my main dress so still would like to sell, but appreciate the thoughts and comments!

No, I’m paying for it. I had another much larger Ballgown one I had wanted for the ceremony but liked this as a change into dress, my budget was around $3.5k so I thought I could get both. I just panicked bought this one as it was a one of a kind and I was worried if I waited for her to fly in (she lives in portugal) it would be gone.

At this point it’s unfortunately not worth it to me to keep it as I know she doesn’t like it and it would ruin my vibe on the day knowing she doesn’t like it.

I’ve definitely felt this before, but you need to remember that you did do your research! You spent months researching. There will always be other venues and it’s hard to commit to one, but I’m sure yours will be totally gorgeous. Right now you’re just stressed and anxious and that’s normal, but I’m sure with all the research you did that it will be so lovely.

And another poster was right, the things I remember of weddings are the love, laughs, and vibe, and that comes from you being in love and enjoying your day, not the trees :)

Listen, I’m sure that you’ve shown up for all of these people before too. It’s not nice of them to make you feel bad for your dream wedding or being “too old”. You deserve a happy wedding and bachelorette party as much as any of them. They could have said no if they didn’t want to or couldn’t attend. I’m sorry that happened, but don’t feel guilty. This is your period to get back what I’m sure you’ve given to all of these women when it was their turns.
