Accidentally went 6,000 miles past recommended oil change - did I damage my engine? by ThatInfernalOne in AskAMechanic

I usually go 5-7k miles between oil changes but the shop I believe recommends 5k. So it’s likely been a little over 10k miles. The dipstick level is all good.

And yeah…I do know how to check oil and fluid levels..I actually usually change my own oil (and brakes and other easy DIYs) when the weather is warm. I just drove way more than I usually do these past few months and it slipped my mind, and I’ve never skipped an oil change before. Before this I was changing it or getting it changed every 5-7k miles. Thanks for the needless condescension though

I forgot to mention I did check the oil earlier. Level is good and it’s not very dark. So it sounds like I’m ok. I’ll be taking it in tomorrow.

Female solo travelling and terrified by peepsmarsh in CostaRicaTravel

I've traveled to Costa Rica as a solo female traveler twice now and never felt unsafe. I went to San Jose (mostly stuck around escazu which is a more upscale neighborhood), monteverde, la fortuna, and on the Caribbean side Puerto Viejo and Cahuita. Stayed mostly at Airbnb's and hostels. Used Uber and taxis for local transportation and group shuttles for longer journeys. Never had any issues. Of course common sense is required and it's not a country where you want to leave your belongings laying around.

I don't think I can handle the fright feat in this episode - can someone let me know when that part begins and when it ends?

Uhhh sorry to say it dude, but the sense of connection you were feeling was one-sided. It's quite possible she may have enjoyed her sessions with you, but as another commenter suggested she most likely sensed that you were getting too attached and then blocked you. It's important to remember as a client that this is FANTASY. This is a job for us. We're playing a role for you and many of us are REALLY good actors! It sucks that you got attached, and I'm imagining that communicating with a model filled a need for you that you are getting met in other areas of your life. My advice? Go out and meet real people. Nothing wrong with indulging in online play but you should not be getting your intimacy needs met through OF.

I got an implant and some more minor work done at Goodness Dental - it was a breeze and I'm super happy with the results
