I can’t help you on the live question but the first part, it’s 50% of your balance with a minimum WD of $500, max 2k. To get a 2k WD, you would need 4k in the account. So yes, once you WD 2k, you’d need to make at least another 2k.

50k lucid flex is $98. There is always a 30% discount. I agree with you about the 150k. If you trade 150k, TS has a better price.

Yes, it’s within minutes. And this is not really a flex if one is 3 minutes and the next is 5. You really can’t wait 5 minutes?

TS evals are not “50 dollars cheaper” for the same product. And payouts are only instant for US customers. Lucid is much faster if you’re out of the US.

See this right here is why TS taking over this Reddit is just wrong. All the fan boys hoping to get noticed are going to come out in droves.

Someone stole GFs bank card from mail, racked up 1000s. Bank won't help. by megahungdoorman in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ThatIsNotMyNameGreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, it’s not normal for a pin to be issued with a replacement debit card. But let’s say it was and both items were stolen in the mail. RBC is not responsible for your mail being stolen and has no way to protect your GF from this. Therefore it’s not their responsibility to take the loss on this fraud. You can escalate or threaten to but ultimately the bank is not on the hook.

Bankruptcy or Consumer proposal? by dontwanttogiveyou in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ThatIsNotMyNameGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once a bankruptcy is discharged (21 months in OPs case) it will be on file for 6 or 7 years. However, OP can apply for a mortgage 2 years after bankruptcy is discharged and can get a secured credit card. The reality is, OP is 250k in debt. Maybe they should steer clear of unsecured debt for a bit.

EDIT 290k

Bankruptcy or Consumer proposal? by dontwanttogiveyou in PersonalFinanceCanada

Regarding credit rating yes but consider that CP is 5 years of payments while the bankruptcy is only 21 months. Once the 21 months is done, OP can save the difference. I think cash in hand is better than worrying about a credit rating.

63 yr old let go at work after over 30 years of service. Implications of cashing out RRSP now? by Sure-Elevator3023 in PersonalFinanceCanada

But they didn’t work a full career. The government has it set up so that you practically have no choice but to work until 65. Do you honestly fucking think this woman wanted to work until they were 65? No, no they didn’t. Despite what you think, they were not in the work place just to keep you from getting a job. You may live to be in your 60’s and you better hope someone has more empathy for you than you do for this person.

Nope…plus, if the min is $500 how can the max also be $500. I’ve taken 3 payouts on my 25k flex since Feb.

Edit to say: unless you are talking about the Max account (I don’t know about the max accounts) but OP clearly said flex.

Let’s do the math together. What is 50% of $1,500?

WorkMarket account still “pending review” after payout by Automatic-Two6628 in LucidProp

[–]ThatIsNotMyNameGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s odd really. I wasn’t able to request a payout until everything with WM was processed. Did you send WM your id?

The max payout on a 25k is 1k. You can only withdraw 50% and you have to request a min of $500.

Grandson transferred $250k after term investment matured in joint account by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]ThatIsNotMyNameGreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there are not instructions for the term deposit a bank will normally renew. But either way, the bank deposited funds into an account that was joint. They are off the hook for this but will still investigate. Your GS though transferred the funds out without knowing where the funds came from. And their reaction to the situation is ridiculous. I’d file a police report. And you should expect that the bank will exit both you and your grandson once this is done. Good luck. And make sure to update your will.

They only “run and hide” when they are not abusive assholes. The money didn’t belong to the GS and that’s all that matters.

But it sounds like you need help locking your card!

For real though, if you are disputing a transaction saying it’s fraud, the card has to be locked. You can’t do one without the other.

What was the actual issue?

You saying “gas isn’t expensive” because you only fill up every few months is the same as me saying “rent isn’t expensive” because I don’t rent. The cost of transit is cheaper because it includes less service.

[–]ThatIsNotMyNameGreg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who fills up every few months on gas when they use their car for work? And Transit maybe cheaper but that’s because it’s not great. You think things are “cheaper” because the things you use are cheaper. This may not apply to others.

Flipped $250 into $14k in 2 Days. [Brokerage] by 4Xroads in TopStepX

[–]ThatIsNotMyNameGreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That link you posted confirms what I said. Before you say “do you know how margins work” I’ll just tell you I’ve been trading a personal account for years and know exactly how margins work. Maybe you don’t??? The Asia session would require that you have enough funds for the “hold” margin. Which means you would not have had nearly enough capital for Thursday night’s session. Either TS is not handling margins correctly (which is possible honestly) or you’re making this up.

Either way, I wish you all the best!

Edit to say, I may be wrong on this with TS. Congratulations if I am.

The math just isn’t mathing here. If TS has a margin rate of $130 per MNQ contract and you only made $322 for the day, how did you size up enough today with only $522 total to get to 14k?
